"Cyberdramon!" Ryo Akiyama shouted.
The Digimon Tamer could do little to stop his partner. Its mind no longer belongs to Cyberdramon now, but that of ZeedMillenniummon. Years ago, Cyberdramon in its previous form, Monodramon, forced a jogress evolution with Zeed in order to defeat the nigh-invulnerable Digimon god. Their minds became one, but Ryo had helped Cyberdramon retain control over its mind. That was, until two weeks ago, when Cyberdramon started acting more violently than its usual self. While it is true that having its mind melded with Zeed gave Ryo's partner its violent tendencies, Cyberdramon had never killed before, let alone slaughter an entire village of Digimon.
And all Ryo could do was watch in despair as Zeed, possessing Cyberdramon's shell of a body, left the child behind. Its quest to evolve once again into ZeedMillenniummon had began, and in doing so, it shall finally destroy the very fabric of reality of the Digital World once and for all.
To do so, however, it required a tremendous amount of energy source. Barbamon, the demon duke of "Digimon Hell", the Dark Area, came upon the rumors of Zeed's return and offered such a source. In Zeed's impatience, it was tricked into becoming Barbamon's mind-slave forever. Now, Barbamon seeks to evolve Cyberdramon into ZeedMillenniummon for its own purpose - to remove the crystal and the fractal code chains that restrain Zeed's true power. And that is yet another arduous task that requires the souls of children and Digimon with 'pure hearts'.
That is why you, the Chosen Children, are summoned. Come now, Barbamon is waiting. It's time to...
Some things to know for editors
Alright, I am going to cut to the chase. If you want to edit this story, for one thing, you naturally have to be a fan of Digimon. I previously set a rule that only people who have watched the original anime would qualify, which I apologize for - that was stupid. If you've merely watched the American dub, you are free to edit as well. Just know that the story here deals heavily with Digimon Tamers (or "Digimon: Season 3" in America), Ryo Akiyama, and the "Brave Tamer" video game. I want this story to be revitalized, not just by myself, so I think I'll keep the editing of the storyline lax this time.
Other pointers include:
- Digimon has no gender, as far as the canon states. Sometimes, I make the mistake of giving them one. Please correct these if you see such mistakes.
- All means of evolution found in the anime are used (Crests, Cards, Spirits, etc.)
- Canon-Digital Worlds seen in the anime will be used in the game, while our real world will be something like the Earth-Prime in DC Comics.
- There are special labels for each of the Digital World (or D-World, for short), mainly Neo (D-World from X-Evolution), Alpha (D-World from Tamers), Beta (Frontier), Charlie (Adventure), Delta (Savers). They are labeled in the order of when the Digital World were first created; hence yes, in this story, the Digital World from the X-Evolution movie is the first of its kind.
- Think creatively. Two options that span from choosing one Digimon but choosing different types of Digivice do not have to have the same contents/results. The same goes for other options that have similar titles; different stuff can happen in reality even when you do the same thing.
