Close the door and hide in the secret room

You don't think you can make it out without being seen. So you quickly reset the lock and pull the heavy door shut from the inside.
Footsteps enter the lab, coming closer and closer. There is the sound of a key entering the padlock and the door swings open. You look around in panic, but there is no place to hide in the small room.
Gary enters, turning on the light. He sees you immediately. "Katarina, what are you doing in here?" he demands.
Hanging your head, you admit your curiosity got the better of you. Gary scowls. "I keep this place locked up for a reason."
"Please, Gary, let me help you with whatever you're doing..."
"This is my project, and I'll live or die with my success or failure. Now I want you to leave, and swear that you'll never tell anyone what you saw in here."
