Call your buddy Chelsea and ask if her brother Marcus could do it.

From Create Your Own Story

You and Chelsea have been best friends since elementary school. Even though in high school you identified with different cliques- she with the popular girls and joining the cheerleading team, and you with the so-called "geek squad" that have more interests in gaming and anime- you two are still on very good terms, even going to the same college and hanging out in her dorm room sometimes.

Her brother Marcus is a year older than the two of you and went to the same college. You loved hanging out with him, first when you go over to Chelsea's place during grade school, then in Chelsea's dorm room during college. You guys would have endless discussion about video games and anime, battle it out on his playstation, which Chelsea begrudgingly lets him keep in her room, and binge-watch anime. Chelsea would often joke that if you were a guy, maybe you and Marcus could have been twin brothers. Some of your other mutual friends joke that they would often mistaken you for Marcus's little sister, not Chelsea. Some people even go so far to say that you and Marcus were dating, which you tend to laugh off. He's a great guy, but he IS more like an older brother than anything else.

You quickly dial Chelsea's phone number and waited for the ring tone.

"Hey, Alexis!" Chelsea's cheerful voice popped up on the other line. "How's everything? So good to hear from you."

"Hi Chels, I've been good. But I think I need your help." You started right away, no need for extra pleasantries with your bestie. "Can I ask Marcus to help me with something?"

"Oh okay. What's going on?"

You explained the situation to her in detail. After a moment of silence, she bursts into laughter.

"Oh wow! Looks like you got yourself in quite a bind there, Lexy."

"I know, I don't know what I was thinking." You chuckled. "So do you think Marcus can help me?"

"Umm...well, you will need to ask him yourself." She replied. "Why don't I give you his number and you can ask him."

That's when you realize that all these years and you've never ask Marcus for his number. You quickly jot down as Chelsea read it off to you, feeling kinda dumb for not already having it.

"Ok, thanks, Chels. That was a huge help!" You answered her with joy. "Talk to you later!"

After you hang up the phone, you quickly dialed in Marcus's number, the phone rang a few time and clicked.

"Hello? This is Marcus Ferris speaking." His voice gave you a nostalgic feeling of all the heated discussions about which Final Fantasy game was the best one, the late night anime binge-watching while trying desperately not to wake Chelsea, and all the head-to-head and tag-team video game battles that helped the two of you momentarily break free from the stress of school.

"Um...hi Marcus. This is...um...Alexis." You suddenly find yourself stuttering nervously. Why are you getting so worked up? This is one of your best buddies since youth.

"Oh, hi! It's been a while." He sounds happy to hear from you. That's good. That will make your mission easier. "So what's up?"

You explain the whole situation to him while he listens patiently. After you finish, he lets out a light chuckle.

"Sounds like quite a mess there, Lexis. What can I do to help?"

"Well, you know me better than most other guys do..." You respond sheepishly.

"Uh oh, I think I know where this is going." You can almost feel him raising one of his eyebrows, as he always does when he detects one of your mischievous plans. "But do tell, I'm curious to know exactly what you have in mind."
