Break protocol and attempt to rescue the scientist

You're not going to just let a man die when you have the chance to save him. You yank open the door and position yourself protectively between the surviving scientist and the zombies. With two swift head shots, you dispatch two of the monsters. The third zombie rams into you, knocking your pistol away, but you reach out with your slim but strong wrists, snap its neck, and slam it to the floor. To make sure it's finished, you stomp down hard on its head with your long black size 8 leather boot, squashing its skull completely flat.
You look around. Most of the first scientist's head has been chewed away. The soldier, on the ground and bleeding from his neck and face, simply looks at you, then closes his eyes. You pick up your gun and fire one final shot.
You look at the other scientist. "Are you all right?"
"Y...yes, thanks to you. Thank you for saving my life, Miss..."
"Marina. And I was just doing my job."
"Thank you, Miss Marina."
Nina appears, crossing her muscular arms in front of her. She fixes you with a piercing stare from her bright blue eyes. "Marina, officially I'm pissed at you for violating my orders. But off the record, thanks for having the balls to do that." She looks down at her boots. "I guess I've gotten so caught up in protocol that I've forgotten the human side of things."
"That's okay. As long as you promise not to abandon me if I'm ever in the shit."
Nina smiles. "Trust me, I won't." She squeezes your hand affectionately. "Nice neck snap you did there. I didn't think a woman as slender as you could do that, but you're obviously a lot stronger than you look."
You blush a little. "Well, I did a lot of action movies when I was an actress, so I kind of had to be."
Nina looks at the dead soldier who you were forced to kill. "This must have been a rough experience for you. Would you like to take a break?"
