Ask Marcus if you can go over to his place.

From Create Your Own Story

"Well, umm...is it okay if I go over to your place to use your clothes?" You inquire sheepishly, wondering what his place looks like.

"Okay, that sounds good!" He reply without hesitation. "I'll text you the address after we hang up."

"Great! Thanks a lot! I totally owe you." As you hang up the phone, a fluttery feeling begin to swell up in your chest. It wasn't a feeling you were used to. The phone vibrates, you look down to see the address and grin excitedly like a little kid in a candy store, except this time the sweet is...well, never mind. You shake your head hard to relinquish any weird thoughts. You need to focus on the objective here. Marcus is helping you get this job, that's it.

You look at your attire of sweatpants and a T-shirt. You're meeting one of your best friends for the first time since college, so it wouldn't be a bad idea to wear something a bit nicer.

Something athletic might be nice. Much like you, Marcus is not a straight-up geek that lacks any social life. In fact, he played intramural sports throughout college to stay in shape. Maybe you can have some recreational fun together. You dug in your closet and dug up just what you were looking for.

Quickly stripping down to your underwear, you throw on the baseball tee that your dad bought you as a pre-teen, a bit tight and showing a bit of your bellybutton, but otherwise comfortable. A pair of white sport shorts slides nicely up your legs and tightly hugs your hip. The red-and-white striped knee-high socks also fit nicely.

"Perfect!" You grinned to yourself while standing in front of the mirror. With this attire, you're ready for anything.

At the appointed time, you head over to Marcus's place and climbed up to his third floor apartment. Slightly panting from the climb, you ring the doorbell and waited. You hear the door unlock and it swings open. You are greeted by the a handsome, dark-haired man in his mid-twenties. His healthily tanned skin covered by a sports tee and dark blue jeans. He grins at you invitingly with his dark blue glistening eyes. The sight of him once again rushes you with a climax of nostalgia.

"Heya, Alexis." He lets you in and lightly jabs you in the shoulder with a closed fist. "It's been too long, you're looking well."

"You don't look too bad yourself, tough guy." You respond with a playful jab to his chest, which he absorbs with a smile.

"Being keeping busy, y'know." He brushes aside a streak of black hair from his forehead. "Working at the fire department has kept me in decent shape."

"I can see that. Guess you're not a geek anymore." You look him up and down with a chuckle.

"I was never a geek!" He pretended to be offended. "But I can still whoop you in Street Fighters, if you that's what you were getting at."

"Is that a challenge?" You raised an eyebrow at him.

"Well, only if you want me to help you with this interview thing." He knowingly raised an eyebrow at you in response.

You glanced over to the TV set in his living room, which still has the old game system you guys used to play hooked in. You and him exchanged a mischievous smile almost simultaneously.
