0014-Leave and continue with your day
From Create Your Own Story
You slowly walk down the blood filled hallway, trying not to get too close to the walls. You cautiously step around puddles of blood on the floor. Your stomach turns again and again with each breath you take. The strong metallic smell is overwhelming.
As you try to avoid coming into contact with any of the blood, you realize Jason is not next to you. You look back and see him still standing in the doorway to the neighbor's apartment. He is looking deeper into it, nearly his entire upper body is beyond the door frame. As he begins to step inside, you yell his name, stopping him in his tracks. "I just want to take a quick look!" he shouts back.
He must have made somebody aware of his presence there, because right after he yelled you could hear a howling scream and things being knocked over. Jason immediately slams the door shut and runs in your direction. "GO!" he shouts to you. The look on his face is nothing short of absolute terror. You can hear screaming coming from behind the closed door of your neighbor's apartment.
You turn and run towards the elevator as fast as you can. The screaming in the apartment turns into pounding and scratching on the door. Your heart is pounding, it feels like it's going to jump right out of your chest. The pounding is getting louder, even as you get further from the apartment. As you're running, you step into one of the blood pools, and slip to the floor.
Jason continues running, and makes it to the elevator. He presses the button, calling the elevator to your floor. He runs back to help, as you keep slipping when you try to get up. You never realized just how slick blood can be. Granted, you have never been around enough of it to make a hallway smell this way. Finally, you manage to get back to your feet and start running again. The pounding on the door still hasn't stopped.
You make it to the elevator, but it's still heading to your floor. Living on the fourteenth story has its disadvantages. The elevator dings, informing you that your escape has arrived. The adrenaline is pumping through your body, the endless banging on the door behind you appears to be even louder than before, and the elevator doors slide open. Immediately you vomit at the sight of the Johnny Joe's delivery man lying dead in the elevator, your breakfast order on the floor beside him...
