Billy Leager, also known by his ring name The Beast is a former backyard wrestler who is most known for his time in the now defunct Annihilation Technical Trampoline Wrestling, but also spent time in Jake's Backyard Wrestling. Billy is one of the two founding fathers of Annihilation Techncial Trampoline Wrestling. Due to his Amateur Wrestling expierence from Middle School, he was one of the most technically sound wrestlers in ATTW and JBW. Billy was most known for his feuds with Tyler Janson and J-Gunn.

Billy was praised by ATTW and JBW fans for his style, in addition to being a technically sound wrestler, he was an aggressive brawler who loved to inflict pain. His matches tended to involve weapons whether DQ or No DQ and he tended to use anything he could find to his advantage. Billy also had the charisma to capture the crowds attention and keep it. Billy's skill set had many backyard wrestling fans comparing him to Edge. Billy was widely regarded as the top heel in ATTW.

Billy is one of six ATTW wrestlers to have won the ATTW World Heavyweight Championship, the others being Tyler Janson, Brandon Trader, Kendall Cosby, Terry and TBA and is the only to win it 3 times (Tyler Janson, Terry, and Kendall Cosby have each held it twice).

Backyard wrestling tenure

ATTW

Billy made his ATTW debut as The Devil Child and was only the second wrestler to appear on the show, only behind Janson. This lead to his first feud with Janson. As the company gained more wrestlers the show started.

First Feud With Tyler Janson

Billy and Tyler both began pursuing the World Championship, with Tyler ending up with the title. Billy then challenged Tyler to a match at Warfare 1 for the title. Billy kayfabe injured Janson and won the title..

Feud with Brandon

Billy still held the World Championship. After Brandon Trader defeats Billy, Billy doesn't give Brandon a title shot. Later that night Brandon defeats Terry and Kendall in a handicap match to earn a title shot at Damnation. Billy wins at Damnation and keeps the title, and after that he beats Brandon in a rematch at Breaking Point in a 20 Minute Iron Man match.

Double Titlist, Unstoppable Gimmick and Feud with Marc

Marc Wyman was on a roll winning a Money In The Bank match against Allan. After the match against Brandon, Billy and tag team partner Kendall Cosby defeat the tag team champions Matt and EFM for the titles. Billy then retains his World Title after Marc cashes in his MITB.

Hiatus and Return

In mid-2010, Billy announced he would be going on hiatus in order to pursue other interests. Billy returned at Chopping Block to defeat World Heavyweight Champion Terry and win the title.

Injury

On October 29, 2010, Billy injured his calf in a non-wrestling incident. This was a minor injury but it kept Billy out for a few weeks.

Return, second feud with Tyler Janson, and The Empire

Billy made his return on November 12, 2010 with a new theme song and a new gimmick. He became a face to feud with heel Tyler over the World Title. Also in this time period he won the Light Heavyweight Title for a second time. Billy, Brandon, Kendall, Marc, and new wrestler Josh formed a stable called The Empire. The Empire dominated ATTW until its break up in January 2011.

ATTW hiatus and Injury

In March 2011 it was announced that ATTW would be going on a brief hiatus. However this hiatus was extended due to an injury Billy suffered in a 4-wheeler accident. Billy made a full recovery in short time and ATTW was set to return in mid April but Tyler bruised his ribs and the hiatus was extended yet again. During Tyler's recovery his computer crashed and all the scripts were lost. Billy and Tyler have announced that ATTW will take a much longer hiatus then expected but will be returning none the less. ATTW has announced that it might return in early August 2011, and finally post videos to Youtube. However the return might happen without Billy, who has announced his intentions to focus on other things he has going on.

ATTW Reunion

ATTW held a reunion show on January 15, 2012. The show was made up of rematches of the greatest matches in ATTW history, including Billy vs. Tyler at Warfare 1. These matches were not scripted. Billy defeated Tyler in a Tables match.

JBW

Billy made his JBW debut as The Beast on August 11, 2012. This came after music kept interrupting JBW World Heavyweight Champion J-Gunn's matches. The Beast beat down on J-Gunn along with fellow JBW wrestler H2. The Beast won his first JBW match the following week against The Animal. The next week The Beast won a #1 contender's battle royal by last eliminating H2.

Retirement

Billy announced his retirement from backyard wrestling on September 1st, 2012. Billy stated that he had suffered and wrestled through numerous injuries in the past and that they were taking a toll on him. He also said that he had many things weighing down on him and he could not continue wrestling with work and school.

Behind Character

Billy is a 2 year veteran in Amateur Wrestling. Billy has not been pinned in his amateur wrestling career. Billy is in real life a fan of many wrestlers, but Stone Cold and Edge are his main influence. Randy Orton and Chris Jericho influence some. He is in real life friends with Tyler Janson, Marc Wyman, Brandon Trader, Matt Naegele, Jake Hopkins (J-Gunn), Heath Anderson (H2), Andy Griffith (The Animal), and Kendall Cosby. He was born on Halloween, so his Devil Child gimmick was thought of. He has recurring knee issues after an early 2009 surgery, and these issues have hurt him over his career. Billy is typically a heel and he says the reason for this is that he is "naturally an asshole."
