The Plot of Evil Dreams is the first Topmonhit Story... story. It finishes up an arc Topmonhit had begun, but didn't finish in The Yoshi Bodyguards due to the slowness of the RP.

Story
Part 1-1: Something Strange and Mystical
The story began with a part that had very little to do with the rest of the story. One night, in a Rogueport alley, a chalk-colored kirby named Kreafty was given some mysterious items and a set of blueprints by an unknown person (who turned out to be Fawful). The next day, Kreafty had completed whatever it was; it looked like a Wii remote, but he was able to use it to turn a goomba into a AA battery. Just then, Top appeared, complaining to him and taking his device away until he could handle having such a device.
Meanwhile, at Top's House, Sneen was packing things away for his leave to Fhar Outpost. Top showed up with the device, but then Kreafty barged in and took it back, after which he turned Top into a snail. He then went on a rampage, turning everything into this and that. Topper and Sneen went to go stop him, while Oshy did some research, learning that everything would return to normal if the remote was broken.
Stuck as a snail at his house, Top began watching some TV when the news came on. Unable to get to the remote, he was forced to watch the news, but was able to learn that the Star Rod at the Fountain of Dreams was stolen by Cackletta, Fawful and Grunty. After Topper and Sneen were able to get Kreafty's device and break it (after which he was arrested and sent to jail), Top told Oshy, Topper and Sneen what he had learned and they sent messages out via Platinum Shroom across the galaxy to try and locate them.
Part 1-2: “We’re going to Earth? CAN WE GO TO JAPAN AGAIN?!”
The next day, they returned to helping Sneen pack when Pyro, Danny, Lucky and Sneezier showed up. After some conversationing, Oshy got a call from Whirl on his PS; apparently, he had found Cackletta, Fawful and Grunty, so they all hurried to Mobius and Angel Island. There, Whirl showed up along with Sonic and Tails, and they rushed to the Master Emerald shrine. When they got there, they saw Knuckels about to fight against Cackletta, Fawful and Gruntilda, so they prepared to join in.
Part 1-3: The Master of Disaster
During the battle, Fawful was defeated, and Grunty was almost defeated but it was interrupted when the Master Emerald began flying! In reality, it was being taken by a large, black cruiser--The Cat Cruiser. It was Slike! It would seem Slike was now working with Cackletta, Fawful and Grunty, and they were able to get away with the Master Emerald.
Part 1-4: They Stole Our Top
Top, Oshy, Topper and Sneen returned to Top's House, but this time Sonic and Knuckles came with them in the guest room. During the night, however, Top disappeared, as did Knuckles. Everyone gathered together (Super and Eggo showed up for some reason, as did Sally) and held a meeting. Sneezier, Whirl and Tails said they found the Master Emerald's energy signature at Tubba Blubba's Castle, but before they headed there Sneen made an announcement.
Sneen revealed his newest invention, Project S, which could increase someone's power to very high levels, but is very dangerous without an adequate power source. He suspected it would be useful in the upcoming fights, but just then Top crashed through the window! He had some cuts and bruises on him and was unconscious, so they brought him to his room to let him rest. Unfortunately, while they weren't looking, he got up and tried to leave; Oshy spotted him, and the next thing they knew he was attacking them; it was actually Dark Top!
Dark Top managed to elude their grasp and get down to the basement where he rummaged through some items until coming across what he was looking for--the Magic Paintbrush. Using it, he teleported out of there, and everyone prepared to follow him to Tubba Blubba's Castle.
Part 1-5: 15 Vs. 15 (Special: 3X THE NORMAL SIZE)
Once they arrived at Tubba Blubba's Castle, they entered and found Light Top and Knuckles in cages. They freed them, but then Cackletta, Fawful, Gruntilda, Slike and Dark Top showed up. They were about to fight when they revealed a large group of other villains were with them--Metal Sonic, Mingy Jongo, Dark Matter Kirby, a strange, large computer, Rexor, Mime Dee, Metal Sneezier, Mogmire, Shadow Danny, and Team Flash.
A large 15 on 15 battle began. Topper Vs. Fawful (Topper won); Pyro Vs. Grunty (Pyro won); Whirl Vs. Slike; Knuckles Vs. Mogmire (Knuckles won); Lucky Vs. the Computer; Tails Vs. Mime Dee (Tails won); Super Vs. Team Flash (Super won); Sally Vs. Mingy Jongo (Sally won); Sneezier Vs. Metal Sneezier (Sneezier won); Eggo Vs. Dark Matter Kirby (Eggo won); Oshy Vs. Rexor (Oshy won); Danny Vs. Shadow Danny (Danny won); Sneen Vs. Cackletta; Sonic Vs. Metal Sonic (Sonic won); and finally, Light Top Vs. Dark Top.
At the end, Dark Top took out the Magic Paintbrush and fused it with the Star Rod, then blasted Light Top with a giant blast. Cackletta pressed a button, bringing out a large machine that had the Master Emerald in the center and 6 pods connected to it which held the SNS Mystery Eggs! Dark Top inserted the fused Star Rod/Magic Painbrush into it, and the machine blasted a huge amount of dark energy upwards. Everyone escaped, although some unwanted passengers came with them: Team Flash.
Dryler claimed they were secret agents and weren't really helping the bad guys, and revealed to them that the machine could take control of peoples' dreams and then take control of them, which is how they were able to split Light and Dark Top. Oshy rushed to Sneen (as they were in Sneen's Cruiser) and told him to tell everyone to get who they can off the planet. They were able to get Yoshi, Apricot, Testube and Oh Gee off the planet, but didn't have enough time to get anyone else. They then had a vote to decide where to go to hide out.
Part 1-6: Bug Pokemon Bug Me
The Pokeworld won, so they headed off to the Pokeworld and got to Viridian Forest, where Rening let them stay with him. After a song, which revealed they needed the Ripple Crystal and the Crystal Jiggy to increase the power of the machine. Meanwhile, with the heroes, Light Top... ran off to get a snack. After Eggo ate a Weedle, some Beedrill tried to attack them but Pyro fired them. Then a Kakuna fell on Sally. Oshy and Apricot left to go take a walk. Meanwhile, the others tried to formulate a plan... with little success.
As Light Top was walking, Ferdinand suddenly appeared over him. Light Top recognized him, but didn't have time to chat as a group of Beedrill that were chasing Ferdinand appeared, and they both ran (well Ferdinand flew) opposite ways. Ferdinand ended up coming up to the heroes' campsite, and after Super, Eggo and Pyro fired the Beedrill, Ferdinand told them he accidently wandered into their nest and that he had saw Top while fleeing. Speaking of Light Top, he had stopped running when he heard a voice yelling about a puffball. He dived into a bush and saw Rexor, Shadow Danny and Metal Sneezier kidnapping a Jigglypuff. He ran off to tell the others.
Meanwhile, Oshy and Apricot found a large group of Kricketune singing. They were using Sing, but they didn't realize it, and fell asleep. About two hours later, Light Top finally found the campsite again and told them that he saw Rexor, Shadow Danny and Metal Sneezier kidnapping a Jigglypuff, so they went to stop them; when they arrived at the villains' ship, they prepared for a battle.
Part 1-7: Battle for the Music
The part mostly consisted of the battle against Metal Sneezier, Rexor and Shadow Danny. It looked like they'd be defeated when Shadow Danny was thrown into the ship. Testube had snuck in there and was trying to get the Jigglypuff out, but when he saw Shadow Danny he threw him back out. Shadow Danny tried to get Metal Sneezier and Rexor, who were already defeated, up, but the cage with the Jigglypuff was thrown onto him and the Jigglypuff got out.
Metal Sneezier, Rexor and Shadow Danny were able to escape, but Rexor accidently revealed there were others on Ripple Star and Rareworld. They were going to head there when Oh Gee realized Oshy and Apricot were not yet back. Elsewhere, Oshy and Apricot were waking up when they saw they were tied to a wooden pole, and the Kricketune were dancing. It appeared they were going to be sacrificed, but instead Smear appeared and began painting Oshy.
The heroes soon showed up, and the Kricketune left (a vacation, Smear said). Oshy and Apricot were gotten down, and the situation was explained to them. Renin said he was staying there, but Ferdinand and Smear said they'd be going, so they divided up into two teams:
Ripple Star: Light Top, Sneen, Whirl, Danny, Lucky, Sally, Eggo, Yoshi, Dryler, Lakeep, Zzub
Rareworld: Oshy, Topper, Pyro, Sneezier, Super, Apricot, Oh Gee, Testube, Ferdinand, Smear
Part 1-8: The Crystal-Clear Course
In this part, Wally Plotch was replaced by Mr. Smiley Indifferent Face. Because this was still script format, however, not a lot changed. On Ripple Star, Metal Sonic, Dark Matter Kirby and Mime Dee were causing chaos. Once Mime Dee had used invisible walls to close the area off, they began to make their way to the castle. Mime Dee did not, however, cover the area above them, allowing them to fire something at them from Sneen's Cruiser: Eggo. Dark Matter Kirby was slammed with Eggo, then the cruiser landed and the rest of them got out. A battle began.
Mime Dee and Dark Matter Kirby were defeated, but Metal Sonic continued fighting. Sneen was able to take a shard of the Ripple Crystal, however, and use it for Project S to smash Metal Sonic and defeat it. The three villains fled, but Project S revealed to still take a lot of energy even with the Ripple Crystal Shard. Sneen still thought it would be a good tool to use against them once they return to Star World, so he kept it temporarily.

Trivia
- Depending on the votes, the story could have changed a little in parts 6-8. If they had gone to Popstar, they would have recieved news of Ripple Star being attacked and gone there, then split up to the Pokeworld and Rareworld. If they had gone to Rareworld, they would have overheard Jiggywiggy's Temple being attacked and gone there, then split up and gone to Ripple Star and Pokeworld. Finally, if they had gone to Mobius, they would have found out something that had not been revealed about Slike, then would have split into 3, one for each planet. In addition, going to any other planet would have likely meant Rening and Ferdinand would not have appeared.
- Metal Sneezier, Shadow Danny and Mogmire were not originally planned for the story.
Connections to Other Stories
- Kreafty had previously appeared in Phairy Tails of Doom and then cameoed in The Shadows, the Prankster, and the Hat.
- This story continues the plot began in Stop 'n' Swop Yoshi Bodyguards.
- This story includes the first mentioning of Dr. Tyrato, although he won't appear until X-Chaos, half a year later.
