Coshi was a member of the Yoshi Bodyguards and maintained a spot in the Yoshi Bodyguard Clone Army through its merge with the SWDF. He is a fierce warrior from the island of Bugoto, and is known for his skill with the Bugoto Gunblade. He is married to Plasshi and has a daughter named Sera.

History

Raised in Bugoto

Rau Bugoto was born on Bugoto Island to a prestigious military family. His mother, Vera Bugoto, was in charge of the Bugoto SWDF Naval Academy, while his father was a famous pilot who died in the Taros Lane Engagement. During his academy days, he was trained in the art of Gunblade combat, considered a difficult and impractical weapon due to its considerable weight and low accuracy. At the age of 17, he dropped out of the academy and moved off of the island, changing his name to Coshi in order to evade his parents.

Mercinary and Yoshi Bodyguard

Coshi traveled Star World, taking odd jobs here and there in order to survive. He spent a good deal of time with Professor Franky in Rogueport, and served as an assistant for a short time. Academia quickly bored him, and he went out to sell his services as a mercenary. Several odd jobs later he began to gain a degree of fame.

This fame caught the attention of Asmodeus Yoshilier, who was putting a team of heroes together in order to create his own private force of Bodyguards for his family. He personally extended an invitation to Coshi, who accepted. Coshi served for a good deal of time in the Yoshi Bodyguards when he met a young Lekshi named Plasshi. The two became fast friends, then quickly became romantically involved.

Liberating Ryshi

Coshi served several battles against the COUE, personally maintained a vendetta against their leader Mysterio. Several years into their service Plasshi was gifted with a dream that told her to return to her homeworld of Ryshi in order to help with its liberation from the COUE. Coshi followed Plasshi to guard her, and the two quickly set about uniting each of the scattered nations against the COUE and Porthex forces on the planet.

When the nations of Ryshi finally united to push off the COUE forces occupying their planet, Emperor Kyon gifted Coshi with the honor of commanding the Great Panaj, a ship which, according to legend, was made from the hollowed out carcass of one of the ancients of the planet. Coshi's piloting skills allowed him to use the ship to bust through to the COUE's flagship. Coshi and Plasshi personally boarded their main ship, and killed the COUE General Mysterio, ending his rule over Ryshi.

Marriage and Metal Wars

Coshi returned to serve with the Yoshi Bodyguards, taking part in a few of their operations. Soon though he proposed to Plasshi, and the two were web aboard the Great Panaj on Ryshi. As a wedding gift, the Emperor gave Coshi the battleship in order to aid him in his time at the Yoshi Bodyguards. Coshi also served on the frontlines of the Metal Wars, giving the authority to command several clone regiments against the Metal Army. He served in two minor campaigns before returning to Star World.

Coshi would later be forced to return to Bugoto after a security revealed his wife Plasshi attacking the island. Plasshi was arrested by SWDF forces, which enraged the Ryshi nobility. Coshi was forced to once again confront his parents, who were shocked he was still alive. Eventually, the Yoshi Bodyguards discovered that it was the Porthex of the old COUE who were attempting to get revenge on Coshi and Plasshi for their defeat on Ryshi. Their mountain base was destroyed, and Plasshi was pardoned.

Coshi would return to the frontlines of the Metal Wars, and oversaw the defense of Mobius from the Metal Army's Zinc Legion. On that world he noticed the X-Naut fleet hiding behind the planet's shadow, and shadowed their activities. He discovered they were attempting to steal Mobian scientist Tabbir Whirl in order to get his research on the Chaos Emeralds. When the X-Nauts had Whirl surrounded, Coshi moved in with the Great Panaj, and broke the X-Naut fleet just in time to save Whirl. He moved him to a secret Yoshi Bodyguard base on the Distant Planet.

While there, Coshi learned of the seventh emerald hidden on the planet Alinos the X-Nauts wanted. Before he could take action the X-Naut conscripts raided his base. Coshi held his own until the then-dormant Metal Army forces on the planet began to overrun his base. Coshi took Whirl and his friends to a dropship, and the group escaped to the Great Panaj. After hiding on Star World until the Mobius Invasion settled, Coshi took Whirl back to his planet.

After this incident, Coshi had a daughter named Sera. He asked that Subsourian Ereshikigal train her in the magical arts, for which he reluctantly accepted.

After the Yoshi Bodyguards were officially split up, Coshi remained with the clone army after it merged with the SWDF. He maintained the rank of commander, and helped serve in several small scale battles against the Neo-COUE. In his leave of absence, Coshi was known to help Team TOT in some of their missions.

Coshi evacuated the planet after the Star World Civil War, and moved with Plasshi and Sera to Ryshi. When the SWDF was given over to the Galactic Federation, Coshi retired, living out his days on Ryshi with Plasshi and Sera.

Personal Information

Personality

Before he met Plasshi, he shows a cold and uncaring personality except for his friends due to his warrior-like nature. He tend to be rebellious and seeking adventure. When Plasshi met Coshi for the first time, his cold heart warm up for the beautiful alien yoshi. He is now a caring person who is devoted to protect the innocent from harm, especialy his wife and daughter. He sometimes support couples to be happily married like him as shown in Grodus Rising. Yet, he can be hot-blooded in battle to fuel his fighting skills.

Abilities

Like any Yoshi, Coshi has all the normal Yoshi abilities, from the long tongue, turning things into eggs, flutter kicking, ground pounding, strong legs, and so on. His real ability is using an unique weapon called a Gunblade which are difficult to handle and master. His Gunblade fighting style is called "Dreshyu", which means "Lightning Fencing" in Bugoto, a special sword combat that specializes fencing, offensive manuvers, and speed. Dreshyu came about as a means of dueling combat. It was described as being very elegant, powerful, and requiring extreme precision, allowing the user to attack and defend with minimal effort, while his opponents tired themselves out. He often wielded the blade one-handed for greater range of movement and fluidity. He weapon handling is almost lightning fast that his strikes and slashes are aggresive and hard to track. It relied on parries, thrusts, and small, precise cuts—as opposed to the blocking and slashing of the other forms. The only downside is that it was somewhat harder to deflect ranged shots with this style but Coshi overcome this by training himself in the YB HQ's simulation room. He also shoot powerful beams from the Gunblade to take out foes short to long range.

Not only he can use most weaponry easily, he can do swift and powerful kicks which combined with his Gunblade made him a formidable fighter.

Not only he's a skilled Gunblade User and a weapons expert, he is also a skilled ace pilot. Although not as skilled as Sneezier's, he can take on squadrons of enemy fighters and win. During the Metal Wars, he shot down 50 Metal Army fighters during the Battle of Raxu V, earning the nickname among comrades, "Astro Lightning" for striking hard and fast like lightning.

Final Smash: Gunblade Storm

His is when he spins in the air at high speed and lets the air form a tornado. He then summon multiple Gunblades from above as they cut, slash, slice, dice, and chop everything except his allies. All foes will have multiple cut wounds to damage them lethally.

Family

Coshi came from a long line of Bugoto Yoshi Warriors, each an admin of the SWDF starting in the 1950s. His mother is a hot-headed green Yoshi named Vera Bugoto and a unseen father named Adzam. He's an only child so he has no siblings. After the marriage with Plasshi, he now has in-low relatives who were aliens which is akward to him at first but got over it recently.

Items

"Griffinsoul" Gunblade

Originally the Lionheart Gunblade. It was a Bugoto Family heirloom passed down from many generations. During his sneaking out of the Academy, he "borrowed" it for a very, very long time (AKA keeping as his own). It was reforged in the "Station of Mind" which is a dream location, open up a can of worm of how did it upgraded to it's current form. The weapon itself is built be like an assualt rifle which comes with a zoom-in scope and infra-red targeting laser. It used to fire powerful energy shots shaped like lions but it's upgraded form have energy griffins instead. Each shot are powerful as chaos spears, able to penetrate tank and mech armor as well it works on people. When not in use, he puts it away in a holster/scabbard on the right side of the belt.

Gunblade Daggers

Coshi's sidearms if he doesn't have his "Griffinsoul" Gunblade or to take out foes close range without alerting others. All of them are revolvers with dagger blades. It can shoot up to six bullets loaded up inside the revolving chamber. If he ran out of bullets, he can throw them like a dagger.

Other Gunblades

Over the years, he seems to collect multiple types and models of alot of Gunblades he brought and found all over Star World. Most of them are in his private closet, encased in shatterproof glass cases. He has only a few brought along with him, mass production models for his allies can borrow for special team attack such as Buzzsaw Blitz.

Jet Shoes

Special prototype shoes that allows Coshi to reach high-speeds, rivalling the turbo trains. Not only it provides speed, it can also glide over most surfaces such as ground, water, lava, and even spike pits. He can sometimes use the jets to set things on fire or to perform a flaming kick.

Sonic Gernade Eggs

Special Explosive Eggs that out sonic waves. Like Oshy's gernade eggs, they are explosive thus he can't get hurt by his own weapon by getting too close. The sonic waves rips through armor like a knife through wet paper. Useful against armor foes or large groups.

ARC Commander Commander custom

A customized ARC Commander's armor modified for non-clone users such as General Birdross, Subsourian the Dark, and Coshi. He only wore it during wartime against armies. Like most advanced armor systems, it can uplink PS systems, lock onto targets via HUD, survey squad member and ally status, and scan targets for upload into the PS database. Coshi's version has better interface with the personal energy sheilding and the armor itself can tolerate normal attacks such as a Goomba's headbonk or blowdarts. Some of the armor consists of the Assualt Chest Armor Kai, left Recon shoulder Pauldron, and thruster legs. He rarely wears the helmet for the same reason as Subsourian and to allow him smell certain scents. He only puts the helmet on if he's in outer space or if he about to enter an location with poisonous gasses or areas that are unfriendly to oxygen-breathers.

Ultra DSi

A new gadget Coshi used after the Dark Perforation Army's pernament defeat with his own hands. As a reward for that, he earned it. The Ultra DSi is based off from the Platinum Shroom with some if its parts integrated into the DSi. Not it can play games, download content from virtual shops, browse the net, and take pictures, it uses certain features not included in a civilian's DSi, usually for military operations. It can access the PS Database, communicate with other people like a phone, cordinate and send tactics to allies, pinpoint orbital or aerial strikes, and even wirelessly hack into enemy computers by playing a minigame.

Super Belt

A belt he usually worn during his duty and off-duty. Two main attachments are the storage pouch on the left and the holster/scabbard on the right side of the belt. The pouch usually hold most of the items such as his eggs, gunblade daggers, and food. The holster/scabbard stores his Gunblade when not in use. It also includes a chain grappling claw to help climb up walls, swing over chasms, and to snag anything from afar and pull them in like a lasso. Othen than that, it has special Bugoto charm that usuall boosts his reflexes.

Residence

His home is located at New Yoshitropolis, specifically a villa on top of a tall apartment with a swimming pool and everything. If he has go to outer space or to another world, he usually resides in the Great Panaj, the first Yamato-Class Battleship.

Appearance

A Yellow Yoshi with average looking yet powerful build. His left side of his nose has a "t" shaped scar from his encounter with Torro which is now encased with a metal T plate. He has a black saddle and speed-enhancing white, black, red and yellow air shoes installed with five jets that enable Coshi to hoverskate like Shadow. He wore a special gauntlet on his right arm used to hold many weapons such as the gunblade. Around his waist is a red utility belt with a large storage pouch on the left, a holster/scabbard on the right side of the belt, and a chain grappling claw.

• Coshi's Current home is a shout out to the married hippo couple in Animaniacs.
• Coshi's measurements are 36-25-32, a shout-out to how much of a pervert the actual Sneezier is
• Coshi does not really have a son: in reality, the REAL Coshi was killed in battle many years before. Plasshi pretends that Sera, a sack of potatoes, is their child.
• The bag of potatoes say "SERA" on it because they are Sera(tm) brand potatoes
