History
Origins
The Zaku series started off at it's humble roots as worker robots of Murrmington Industries under a different name, Tierens. After Metal Sneezier commits patricide, he took all of the worker bots and a security and transport ships. His personal scientist and trusted bulter, Dr. Albert, modify them into testing prototype for his military robots. Some succeed while other don't live up to expectation thus sent to the scrap heap while very few became proto-champions. One test type is the Proto-Zaku which passed Metal Sneezier's and Dr. Albert's expectations. The Proto-Zaku will be the main template for the military robot of the future, Zaku Warriors and eventually, MAR-06C Zaku Troopers. The army is then mobilized and succeed in a coup d'etat called the Mekkai Robot Uprising with the assistance of oppressed robot in Mekkai to join the coup and overthrowing the government to establish Metal Sneezier as the new ruler of the planet.

Post Metal Wars
Characteristics
The Zaku Trooper's body is made of Denzium, a common material more durable than steel, and able to survive the rigors of space combat. The alloy is strong against weapon-less melee attacks and .50 cal bullets but can't withstand energy attacks such as plasma but shots from lasguns won't work on them. The body shape is the most basic and some champions are based off from the Zaku design such as the Dalek Zaku in the Metal Wars Climax. They are equal to a GF Trooper, a X-Naut conscript, standard space pirates, and a Clone Trooper but no match for stronger foes.
They are one of the well known robots to have the infamous mono-eye from the Murmmington Industries robot line. The Mono-eye system was first introduced by Dr. Albert used on working machines as the main opic sensor. The system consist of a main optical sensor (main camera) mounted on a rail system so that the sensor could freely slide on the rail to increase the sensing angle so the robot could look around without turning the head. It can incorporate various visors such as the combat visor. In order to capture the distance of the objects, two pictures taken by the Mono-eye have to be processed and compared.
Their weakness are EMP attacks and weapons which fry their systems. The early versions are weak against water, which could short circuit them until early Feburary 2008 when the introduction of aquatic regiments made them waterproof. Their other weakness is their monoeye, a shot could enter through the eye and cause extreme damage to the AI. On the plus side, they can come back to life via repairs by Mecha Bubbles, mechanical Love Bubbles with repair tools.
Weapons and Items
"The projectiles fired from this weapon seem to be made out of the same material as a Spike. Wounds caused by this weapon are horrifying." -Unknown GF Trooper remarks on the Spiker rifles
RK-47 Assualt Spiker Rifle
The Spiker rifle is the main weapon for the Zaku Trooper replaceing the RZ-14 submachine gun. A .75 cal projectile weapon that fires extremely hot and sharp bullets called "spikers" to wound and kill enemies. The rapid-firing, razor-sharp, heated projectile could tear through armor and flesh with ease creating devastating wounds, extremely painful for the rare few who survived being hit by one of the spikes. The weapon is industrial strengh so it can penetrate most energy sheilds. When a Spiker is fired, it leaves a fowl smell, similar to smog. The perks are scopes, a cluster gernade launcher, grapple claw, beam bayonet, and an invisible lock-on laser.
RS-45 Spiker Shotgun
Originally a sidearm for the Gelgoogs, it's a hybrid of a shotgun and a revolver in compact size. It can be used for close range due to the shotgun's short range. It also have blades for suprise melee attacks.
Beam Axe
A standard issue melee weapon for the Zakus. What lacks in easly handling makes up for it's sheer powerful just by swinging it. Not only it can be used for melee combat, it can be thrown like a boomerang.
Shoulder Sheild
The Shoulder Sheild is the most powerful part of the Zaku's body, when blocking, it can absorb energy weapons thanks to it's anti-bean coating, projectile weapons, and even melee attacks.
"Jump" thrusters
A standard issue equipment for all Zaku soldiers, it allows the troop to jump good as the Mario Bros. It allows for accurate and precise jumps from location to location, giving the Zaku the mobility and tactical flexibility that they often lack. Unlike the Flyer Packs used by Gouf Rangers, these do not provide them with a permanent airborne presence or the ability to accurately fight and hover. It is designed for use on a terrestrial environment where after the initial jump they can rely on gravity to bring them back to ground.

Trivia
- The Zaku Trooper is heavily inspired by their mobile suit counterparts in the Gundam Franchise, even the model number is simular. What makes them orginal in the YB universe is that they are human-sized, non-SD, and fully automated machines.
- Their social status is simular to a Jackal's and a Grunt's in Halo.
- The Zaku troopers are the most common troopers to appear in stories, showing up in nearly every encounter with the Metal Army.
