At the end, however, they did battle with another of Slike's robots, this one a brontosaurus-like one. In the end, it was defeated, and they got a 3rd emerald. This left only one emerald left, which was in the Mystic Cave Zone. When they found the emerald at the end, a large mole robot took it before they could grab it, and Slike trapped them between walls. As the battle raged on, the cave began to collapse from all of the shaking; Slike quickly ran off, and the walls collapsed. As the group attempted to escape, the molebot chased after them; at the end, they escaped while the molebot was crushed. It dropped the emerald, giving them one ahead of Slike. All that was left was to get Slike's emeralds. | ||

Whirl & Slike: The Beginning was a story in RP Chornicles that showed how Whirl first battled against Slike and how he first met Evelyn.

Story
Chaos at the Café
The story began at a café at the outskirts of Station Square. Tabbir "Whirl" was reading a newspaper on the triumph of Sonic, Tails and Knuckles earlier that year. While wondering how they always manage to defeat Dr. Eggman, Whirl noticed something sparkling under the table... it was the yellow Chaos Emerald! Soon after taking it, two characters appeared--one was a cyborg bat named Spark, while the other came out of a strange device that came out of nowhere. He simply called himself The Doctor. Suddenly up in the sky, a giant, black cruiser appeared. Believing that finding the emerald was telling him that it was his turn to be a hero, and also believing the ship was Dr. Eggman's, he headed up to the cruiser, Spark and The Doctor following.
A Feline Foe
On the ship, they found not Dr. Eggman, but a black cat who introduced himself as Slike. He trapped them in an energy field and revealed to have 3 emeralds already. He planned to take Whirl's emerald, and a robot came out of the ceiling to attack them. It ended up being defeated, only to have it turn out to be the power core; the ship began to go down. Whirl, Spark and The Doctor escaped, landing safely at the Aquatic Ruin Zone.
