General vs. Specific Confession

This is the title of a chapter from my ongoing research essay which started life as a Vinaya essay called 'Seeking the Roots' or 'Mulesika-Vinaya-Vinicchaya' but has now grown beyond the scope of a Vinaya essay and will probably take me many years to complete. The second least incomplete chapter is about the General vs. Specific Confession and why I believe the General Confession is a 13th Century innovation which totally undermines the purpose of the Uposatha and the ideal of the Sangha. When I've temporarily 'finished' it I'll put it up here, probably in a few months. Santi.
