History
EJR Manufacturing
EJR Manufacturing was an American manufacturing company founded in Edwin J. Richards in 1957.
In 1985, Richards passed on his company to his son, Alex Richards.
Jayatsu Industrial
Jayatsu Industrial was a Korean manufacturer of heavy and industrial equipment. The company was founded in 1978 by C. Yoon.
In 1989 Jayatsu was bought by Han Lee. By 1991, Jayatsu was facing possible financial trouble.
Merger
Am-Kor was formed in 1993 when a merger was formed between AR Manufacturing and Jayatsu Industrial. The name was changed to Am-Kor Limited and Jayatsu Industrial was changed to Am-Kor Industrial Equipment.
So International
In 1998, Am-Kor bought So Manufacturing, another Korean based manufacturing company. In 1999 the name was changed to So International. The most famous product was the ill fated So Car. In 2001. Am-Kor decided to bring back the So Car and turned it into a minor success.
