Your IP will not be checked unless you are a vandal who people thinks has a sock. Also your IP will be checked if they think you are a abusive sock of someone. If you are then your IP will be posted on the user page of all your socks. If any of your socks are used for good edits then that sock will not be blocked and the IP will not be posted. It is against policy toput personal info on your user page.
