From [[1989]] through [[1995]] and [[1997]] through [[2005]], Thursday night has traditionally be reserved for '''Skit Night,''' where each group is tasked with writing and performing a skit that summarized their week's experiences. Skits ranged wildly in topic, style, duration, and of course, quality. They often parodied a movie, television show, or otherwise current event, but almost always relied heavily on satirizing other campers and especially the counselors. After all the groups have performed (more than one group combining to perform one skit has occurred), the counselors deliver their skit. Hot Potato

'''Hot Potato''' is much like its normal counterpart, except a prize is wrapped in multiple layers of paper, and that instead of elimination, the person who gets the "potato" when the music stops is required to unwrap a single layer, revealing a card that indicates that the victim must to a random (and often embarassing) task, such as "write your name with your butt" and "fry like bacon". The person who unwraps the final layer wins the prize.

This consisted of people lining up facing away from the "order" of the line, and the first person must act out what word is given to the next. The next person prompts the one after to turn, and then imitates the actions of the previous person as closely as possible.

Due to the nature of "Telephone"-style games, the end result is usually nothing like what was intended.

Microwaved cookies

In [[2001]], Taiwanese camper [[Yi-Pi Chen]] brought back '''cookies''' from the dining hall one day and decided to warm them up a little in the microwave that night. The rest of his group, [[B6 of 2001|B6]], was in [[Tim Yang]]'s room in the other hallway, planning their skit. [[Barry Huang]] came back to get something from his room, which was next door to Yi-Pi's, and as soon as he entered the bathroom he could smell the aroma of freshly baked cookies. As soon as he left the bathroom, however, the smell turned to acrid smoke that was leaking out from the edges of Yi-Pi's door.

Barry rushed into the room, where he saw smoke billowing from the microwave (which had almost completed the THREE MINUTE cycle it had been programmed), and quickly stopped and opened the device. Yi-Pi exclaimed "哎呀!燒焦了!" which translates to "Oh no, they're burnt!" Barry explained to Yi-Pi that cookies should be microwaved for at most 30 seconds, then ran back to tell the others. At this point the smoke had really started to propogate, and as he burst back into Tim's room, he was surrounded by smoke. The others followed him back through the bathroom, which by now was black with smoke, and all crowded into Yi-Pi's room to gawk at the cookies. They were blackened and charred to the microwave plate, and uncontrollable laughter shook the room. It was then that Tim documented the event with the infamous picture below.

At this point, the counselors, who were meeting in their lounge downstairs, sniffed out that something was amiss and came barrelling into the room. They too, after finding no harm done, had a good laugh and went back downstairs, despite B6's concerns that Yi-Pi and [[Quentin Tai|Quentin]], his roommate, shouldn't sleep there that night as the room still had considerable amounts of smoke in it. True to their fears, Quentin and Yi-Pi woke up the next morning croaking like frogs.

This incident speaks volumes about [[Frostburg State University|Frostburg's]] fire safety system.

Calligraphy and Chinese Painting

Once a staple class of WMACS, students learned basic '''calligraphy''' (書法 shu1 fa3) and or '''Chinese brush-painting''' (國畫 guo2 hua4) techniques with the Chinese brush (毛筆 mao2 bi3). Taught for many years by the well-known [[Ba Lao Shi]]. Due to Ba Lao Shi's retirement and an inability to find new teachers, this class has not been taught since

As camper's skill levels varied, so did the quality of their paintings, ranging from masterpieces by [[Kevin Fang]] to the infamous "[[B-2 Bomber]]" by [[Ian Chen]].
