Well, Rob, it does happen. It has hanpeped. Reviewers have been told that only reviews with scores of such-and-such or above may print on such-and-such date, and reviews with lower scores must print on a later date. Maybe coercion is not always so obvious and unsubtle, fine. But yes, PR has used NDAs to punish writers for negative critiques in games writing, anyway. I don't know how it differs from your two years' experience in straight-up tech writing. But rather than publishing along with everyone else, that company elected to withhold their reviews. That is a lot of coverage, lost. Then that company not Mr Parish, but the company explained why the review would have been compromised had it been published earlier. Again: I don't think that's gutless at all.

Regional Office

The central location of the region:

Regional Events

These are overnights, dances, and conventions open to the entire region. They are opportunities for members to learn, develop, see their friends from around the region, and have an all out amazing time.

  • B'Yachad (a convention occurring in late August. B'yachad is crucial for chapter board members to learn about the positions they will hold for the next year.)
  • Kickoff Dance (a Dance to open the programming year in September or October)
  • Sisterhood Overnight (a one night convention for all the BBGS of CVR. Will not be occuring in 2012.)
  • Fall Convention (a convention in November. Is often themed as the "Spirit Convention".)
  • Kallah (Regional Judiac Insitute, held in January)
  • AZAA (AZA Athletics. Regional AZA Basketball tournament pitting AZA chapter against chapter. Held on two Sundays in May.)
  • Beau Sweetheart (a Dance where the Regional Beau and Regional Sweetheart are elected, happens in February or March)
  • Spring Convention (a convention happening in April or May to elect the next year's regional boards)

lugh, people will peeircve things however they want to peeircve them. That we chose an Eskimo as a mascot could also be seem as a testament to our respect for a proud people and their traditions.Or you can choose to see it as insulting. Though it should be noted (using your example) that we didn't name him "Canucky the Canadian".It's a shame that your first thought (when encountering open-source software for special-needs children) was of racism. I think that speaks volumes more than any mascot ever could.
