This is a Sony PSP unbricking/downgrading method that only needs ONE PSP, even if it's bricked.
Contents |
Problem
- The regular Pandora's Battery method requires a working PSP that is able to run Homebrew.
Solution
- Create a method for unbricking / downgrading any PSP running the latest firmware (like you'd buy used from anywhere) so that it will run both the latest games AND homebrew apps, without needing the help of anyone else's PSP even if your PSP is bricked.
Disclaimers
- This is NOT A NEW IDEA. It's just my writing down several old ideas in a row for future reference.
- If you screw up your PSP from following my noobish untested instructions, its not my fault. I'll post if/when I try this out and tell what the results were.
Needed items
- PSP to be worked on
- Memory Pro Duo stick
- PSP card reader
- Battery
- Soldering iron or whatever other tools your hard modding requires
Steps
- Hardmod a battery
- Copy the DCv5 files to the memory card using the card reader (No working PSP required this way)
- Ressurrect the PSP (To 3.xx m33)
