Flame Tag

Gamer81:

Flame Tag is an Arcade game mode in which one player starts off as "it" and tries to tag the other players. The player who's "it" is on fire, thus the name Flame Tag.

Aim
The aim of Flame Tag is to be the person who is tagged for the shortest time. The one who is tagged is easily recognizable because they are on fire (NOTE: They are not damaged by the fire, although they can be damaged by fire from weapons such as the Flamethrower). A human player never starts out being tagged, although you can spawn very close to the person does. You should play with a time limit, otherwise the game won't end, as the winner is decided by who was tagged for the shortest amount of time.

Tagging
To tag someone, the "it" person must touch someone else, but that's not all. If the tagged person dies and someone walks over the dead body while the body is still alight, that person will assume the flame. The tagged person can kill someone and still tag them by walking over the body before the player respawns. This only works in TS2.

Recommendations
Similarly to Virus, create a weapon set with no weapons, so that you can't simply shoot the person who's on fire if they come towards you (otherwise it would be too easy). However, if you like shooting at everything that moves, weapons are good. Although selecting a map with lots of dead ends is perfect for this type of game, it may also prove to be very frustrating. A map where you can never truly be stuck can be fun as well, because then, incase you do get tagged, it's harder to tag others. All in all, play according to your tastes.

Problems
Sometimes when the CPU who is tagged dies, he may not spawn causing no one alive to tag people. Instead, the CPU will just lie there on fire and no one can take the flame from him. This happens alot in TS2 on Mapmaker maps.
glitch
There is a glitch to have more than 1 person being it.

1- select to edit/make a new mapmaker level

2- set all the weapons to flamethrowers

3-now go to preview in the menu, select flametag

4-normaly flamethrowers will not be allowed in flame tag, but in the preveiw the flamethrowers are allowed, if you get someone on fire, they will become another person who is "it"
(NOTE: do not try this with robots in the AI set, as they can not be tag when exploting this glitch)

Gamer81:

Invisibility is a large, yellow spheres with what appears to be some kind of cloak inside them. This power-up makes the user invisible for a short time. This is especially useful against human controlled opponents, but AI Bots tend to know where you are in 2. In TimeSplitters: Future Perfect the cloak tends to work better against AI Bots, who won't usually discover the player using the cloak unless they are fired upon. The cloak doesn't offer complete invisibility against other players, however. The player will simply appear as a translucent outline of themselves, and they will still be visible on radar.

triva
*in timespliters 2 if a player or AI bot that is a scourge spliter picks up a cloak, the flames are still visiable, making the cloak useless for that charecter

The Ice Station is the largest map in 2. The map is located on a large, snow-covered asteroid, and it is one of the more open-ended maps of TS2. There are five buildings in this map, the largest one in the center (possibly a command centre) containing powerful gun turrets, with four other buildings on the corners of the asteroid (possibly guard posts), and a large, landing pad-like structure on the edge of the asteroid. An underground tunnel that runs throughout the map contains the 5th weapon. The default weapon set has a futuristic theme.
This level is best played with 8+ bots, or the game will be to boring(do to the fact the map is to large)

Streets is a long urban street set at night with various buildings and garages to enter that fits appeared on 1. However, it reappeared in 2.

Differences
There also happens to be some differences between the TS1 version and the TS2 version.

Differences from TS1:
*The music is different than in TS1
*There is a shortcut leading from the blue team base to a building facing the red team's street is TS2. This shortcut does not exist at all in TS1.
*It is snowing in the TS2 version but not in TS1.
*More garages are open in TS2 (4 instead of 2)

Trivia
*The words, "Linux" can be seen on a wall between the blue team's base and the only alleyway in the level, TS1 only.
*this level has an irregular number of zones in TS2, it has 5 zones instead of the regular 4

Playable Modes
*Deathmatch
*Team Deathmatch
*Bag Tag
*Capture The Bag
*Flame Tag
