Superhero who frequently violates the most basic laws of physics. I mean come on, there's science fiction and then there's just silly. He stores his costume inside a ring for god's sake! There are four Flashes in the DCU: Jay, Barry, Wally, and Bart. Barry died fighting the Anti-monitor in Crisis on Infinite Earths. Bart's dead, too, slaughtered by the Rogues, some of whom are sorry they did it.

Jay wears a steel helmet and is a member of the Justice Society.

DC eventually realized how many of the laws of physics Flash breaks, and invented the mystic Speed Force to account for them. All Speedsters, no matter what their origin was, tap into the Speed Force for their powers. The Speed Force works a lot like the Force in Star Wars.

"To flash" also means to reveal yourself in public. Is this a coincidence? I think not.
