DC eventually realized how many of the laws of physics Flash breaks, and invented the mystic Speed Force to account for them. All Speedsters, no matter what their origin was, tap into the Speed Force for their powers. The Speed Force works a lot like the Force in Star Wars.

"To flash" also means to reveal yourself in public. Is this a coincidence? I think not.
