Blackbird Studios is a six-studio complex in Nashville, Tennessee, where The White Stripes' sixth and final full-length album, Icky Thump, was recorded and mixed. The album was recorded with engineer Joe Chiccarelli and assistant Lowell Reynolds in Studio D of the complex, on a 64-input Trident 80 desk. It was mixed in Studio A on a late-'70s 72-input Neve 8078.
