John Szymanski is a prominent Detroit musician. He played harmonica on "Hello Operator".
Szymanski is probably best-known for his work as the frontman for The Hentchmen (as "Johnny Volaré") and as the bassist for The Paybacks. He is also currently in the band SSM. Szymanski was briefly the bassist for the Detroit Cobras in 2002, and was one of the first keyboardists for the Wildbunch (before they became the Electric Six).
