The Dead Weather is an American rock group, formed in 2009. The band is Jack White's third band, in keeping with Jack's obsession with the number three. The formation of the band was announced at the grand opening of the physical location of Jack's record label Third Man Records, where the new band performed. The band immediately released their first single, Hang You From The Heavens, after this event.

The Dead Weather's debut album, Horehound, is scheduled to be released June 8th, 2009, with a tour also planned for 2009.
