Like Meg White, Jack reveals few details of his private life. He states that he does not consider it relevant to his art, saying "It's the same thing as asking Michelangelo, 'What kind of shoes do you wear?'...In the end, it doesn't really matter ... the only thing that's going to be left is our records and photos." -
-	~~==Equipment==~~
-	~~This section includes Jack's equipment with both the Stripes and the Raconteurs. Most of this information is from fan sites and forums.~~
-
-	~~===Electric Guitars===~~
-	* 1964 JB Hutto Montgomery Airline electric guitars
-	** His signature and main electric guitar.
-	* Harmony Rocket
-	* 1970s Crestwood Astral II
-	** Primarily used for songs like Let's Build A Home, I Fought Piranhas and Goin' Back To Memphis and used throughout the recording of their self-titled debut. Most sites will list this guitar as a 1960's Domino Dawson but it has since been debunked. The headstock for the Domino Dawson is nothing like the one Jack plays.
-	* 1950s Kay Hollowbody
-	** Jack usually plays this with a slide.
-	* Gretsch White Penguin
-	** Jack introduced us to this guitar during the Icky Thump tour.
-	* Gretsch Duo Jet
-	* Gretsch Triple Jet
-	** Jack plays these with the Raconteurs.
-	* Gretsch Jr. Anniversary
-	** Double cut version, used with Raconteurs.
-	* Gretsch Jupiter Thunderbird
-	** Custom white, Billy Gibbons/Bo Diddley signature; used on "Another Way To Die" (can be seen in the video for the song, too).
-	* Unknown electric hollowbody
-	** Seen in the video for We're Going to Be Friends.
-	* Fender Coronado
-	** Played on Icky Thump tour, as seen in Rolling Stone photo gallery
-	* Doubleneck guitar
-	** Only seen once in a bootleg video, only used for Astro. This guitar has been confirmed to be a Danelectro.
-	* Unknown Telecaster
-	** Jack used a telecaster for performing with Loretta Lynn on Van Lear Rose.
-	* Mach 4
-	* Gibson ES-335 bass
-	** Jack used a Gibson ES-335 bass for a peformance of "My Doorbell" on "Later... with Jools Holland". It is not known if he used the bass on any other recordings. Jack Lawrence played the same bass model at the beginning of the first Racs tour, although it was a sunburst color, instead of red as played by Jack.
-
-	~~===Acoustic Guitars===~~
-	* Gretsch Rancher
-	** This is a custom Gretsch Rancher Acoustic Guitar Western Maple Satin originally used with the Raconteurs, but he now uses a custom one with the White Stripes (referred to as 'Rita' after the picture of Rita Hayworth on the back of the guitar).
-	* Gibson J-160E Acoustic
-	** Jack plays this with the Raconteurs. Referred to as "Claudette" because of the picture of Claudette Colbert on the back.
-	* Gibson L-1 Acoustic
-	** Old acoustic guitar used with the Stripes, especially during the GBMS/Icky tours. Same model of guitar used occasionally by Robert Johnson (some believe that this is the only reason why he uses the Gibson L-1).
-	* Unknown acoustic
-	** Seen in the video for Hotel Yorba.
-
-	~~===FX Pedals===~~
-	* Digitech Whammy 4 pedal (for the rapid modulations in pitch for his solos)
-	* Vintage MXR Micro-Amp (For boosting the signal)
-	* Electro-Harmonix Big Muff Pi Distortion/Sustainer (for main distortion/fuzz)
-	* Electro-Harmonix Polyphonic Octave Generator (POG)
-	** This was introduced on the song "Blue Orchid". One is currently being used for the Racs tour, along with a similar "Micro-POG".
-	* 3 AnalogMan Mute Boxes (Placed around the stage, cutting the guitar signal)
-	* 3 Zvex Tremolo Probes (all painted black)
-	* Custom Kill Switch
-	** It is rumored that Jack used a custom pedal on a performance on Jools Holland to support Icky Thump.
-	* BOSS TU-2 Chromatic Tuner
-	* BOSS Compression Sustainer
-	* Zvex Wooly Mammoth (believed to be the fuzz on Salute Your Solution and the Quantum of Solace theme)
-	* Fuzz Factory
-	* Dunlop GCB-95 (limited edition copper)
-	* Dunlop 535Q Multi-Wah (Racs whammy)
-
-	~~===Amps===~~
-	* 1970s Fender Twin Reverb
-	* 2 100-Watt Sears Silvertone 6x10 combo amplifiers
-	* Triple Tremelo amp
-	This is an amplifier that can be found in the De Stijl artwork. It is not used much but it can be seen in the David Letterman performance and the Daily Show performance. Johnny Walker from the Soledad Brothers did all the wiring. Jack built it. It has three speakers, and the front one revolves with a peppermint swirl design.
-	* Sonic Machine Factory (SMF) 15-watter
-
-	~~===Strings===~~
-	* GHS strings (they were made in Detroit), unknown gauge. According to GHS Strings' official website, Jack uses GHS Nickel Rockers, or as the website states: "and Nickel Rockersâ„¢".
-
-	~~===Keyboards===~~
-	* Fender Rhodes Mark II
-	** His main keyboard.
-	* red Wurlitzer electric piano
-	** Jack introduced this to us during the Icky tour. Jools Holland played this on a performance of "My Doorbell", with Jack backing on vocal and bass, and Meg on drums. Because this keyboard was not available in red, Jack painted the entire keyboard red himself (along with all of the other equipment on the Icky tour, as said on a Jools interview).
-	* Korg CX-3
-	* Moog Little Phatty
-	* Hammond A-100
-	* Pump organ
-	**Jack : I just got this pump organ that I got shipped up here from Memphis. I found it in a thrift store down there. I've been playing on that a lot. I had to fix it. One of the pedals was broke, so I had to get in there and do some upholstery again! But now I can pump my organ just fine, thank you very much."
-
-	~~=== Miscellanous ===~~
-	* Double Microphone
-	** On a Jools Holland performance supporting Icky, Jack sung Effect and Cause into a microphone that seemed to be two microphones hooked up together. Apparently, it is a stereo thing, for the song.
-	* Gibson F-4 mandolin
-	* Unknown Marimba
-	** Jack surprised fans when he introduced a marimba on Get Behind Me Satan, and brought it along on the accompanying tour. He used as his main instrument on a couple of songs live, primarily "The Nurse". The marimba was gone by the end of the tour, and it is apparently stored in his basement.
