Slacker

One of the younger and more perverse members of SOTF, Slacker finds himself on the outside of many molds. He currently has held every position of authority on the forum (He started of as a Mini-Mod, then went up towards the rank of Admin, then to Mod, then to member, and then to v2 Mod in training and now back to member). It has been noted by many that Slacker's rather wild acension throughout the ranks of the forum lead him to becoming the "next generation" of SOTF, and Adam Dodd has all but handed the torch over to him for "Most Overrated Writer on SOTF".

He joined SOTF on October 5th, 2005. With high ambitions and an even higher ego he's been known to boast jokingly about the pwnage of his posts with Andrew Munteaneau and how he was no doubt the actual protagnist of v1. His flagship for v1 would come in the form of Peri Barclay (whom he had adopted) which many of us know as the killer turned flaming homosexual. His adamant hatred of Pre-Game along with his rather radical views on the forum leadership (meaning he rarely agrees with them and when he does argue his record usually shows that he will eventually be proven right over and over again).

He was rejected from the initial v2 mod applications only to be upped to it again for his work on RP Guides, things where going well for Slacker when he and the v1 mods organized that infamous "Original SOTF Insurgency", at the start of the v2 site Slacker gained the controversial role as admin (mostly for his work in the v2 storyline), he would later relinquish this role due to the arguments he had with Slayer. He would be demoted again mostly because the staff disagreed with his maverick ways and of course as he was teh sex.

His acension to forum moderator in training lies with his disdain for some of the leaders on SOTF, his faux leaving was provoked due to forum hostility and he was brought back due to Adam Dodd's persuasion and the false definition that people wanted him back by giving him the Moderator in Training position. It would later be revealed that people simply gave him that position since they did not want him to leave and he would lose it a day later (however you wish to interpret this is directly related to whom you get the story from). Now Slacker stays on the forum due to the actions of Dodd and him cultivating friendships with both Makaze, Jotun, and Aphrodite.

Slacker awaits for the moment where everyone will come towards him and tell him that he was indeed right about everything, it happened with the mod rankings and it will happen with his demotion, when this happens he will assert himself with a well placed smug fuck you and then go back to writing posts about his characters ejaculating in other characters face.

Till then he promises you that if there is drama anywhere on the site he will be found directly in the middle of it.

== Survival of the Fittest ==
Survival of the Fittest is a [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_Royale Battle Royale] based roleplaying site. The premise of the game is simple: you are a student who, along with the rest of your class, has been thrown onto an island, fitted with an explosive collar, issued a weapon, and given the ultimate ultimatum: kill or be killed. Survival of the Fittest, more commonly known as "SOTF", differs from its inspiration in that unlike most BR-oriented roleplays, SOTF has its own unique storyline, unique characters, and a whole plethora of unexpected happenings. Interested yet? You should be. Battle Royale never got this extreme.

Survival of the Fittest: Version 1 has come and gone. The original roleplay lasted from June 19th, 2005 until August 26th, 2006. In August, construction on the ending for the first version of SOTF commenced. As of the current date, Version 1's "Endgame" has been released to the public. Boy #77: [[Adam Dodd]] beat out [[Cody Jenson]], [[Sidney Crosby]], and [[Jack O'Connor]] to win SOTF v1. The second game began on October 30, 2006. Version 2 has been scaled down from the global event that Version 1 was. Instead, four schools, all out of the metropolitan area of Denton, New Jersey, have been captured and placed in the game. Applications for Version 2 characters are still open, and even in its first stages the game is going strong.

On her right arm, is what looks to be a light weight rope wrapped around her arm in random directions, seemingly holding up the right sleeve of the jacket. Upon her left shoulder is a spiked shoulder pad, which, well, really serves no purpose. She wears a simple black skirt that stops just a little above mid-thigh. '''Biography:''' Born in the city of New York, Takara was born a couple weeks early, fortunately with no problems... physically that is, not to mention her family was prosperous. As a child, she was always smaller than the others her age. Her mother was always there for her, and so was her father, but when she was about six years old, her mother ran off with another man. Her father was devastated, and she rarely saw him smile anymore.

By time she was fourteen, she was one of the toughest girls in her class, and sometimes was referred to as a pyscho bitch. She had self-taught herself how to fight, and had grown quite flexible, thus when she got into high school she joined the gymnastics team.

Half way through her freshman year, on one cold, rainy day, the office called her out of her class. What she found out, caused her world to come crashing down on her. Her dad had been found in their garage with his car running; he had finally committed suicide over his wife leaving him. She gave up in school, her once near great grades, all straight A's except for one B, plummetted to C's and D's. She was forced to move in with one of her dad's sisters and had to transfer schools, which, just so happened to be Barry Coleson High...

'''Mid-Game Evaluation:''' Takara's game began in the woods alongside the river, where she encountered the trio of [[Sidney Crosby]], [[Toby Valerik]], and [[Chance Burton]] after a bit of aimless wandering. The group didn't appear to be hostile, but Takara was reluctant to trust them, especially considering the carnage they were currently surrounded by. The trio's friendly demeanor was unwaivering, however, and Takara eventually began to drop her guard. The group's original plans were to head to the warehouse and hopefully find a way off the island, but when the warehouse just as suddenly turned danger zone, the trio, now a quartet with the addition of Takara, was forced further downriver.

It was there that they encountered the group who had just hightailed it from the warehouse turned danger zone -- [[Adam Dodd]], [[Amanda Jones]], [[Jill Gatling]], and [[Martyn "Murdoc" Ferdinand|Martyn Ferdinand]]. Feeling a bit uncomfortable around the group, Takara opted to follow Sidney into the clearing just in time to stumble upon the desecrated body of [[Madelaine Shirohara]]. Only moments later [[Amanda Jones]] fell to a bullet intended for Sidney, and Takara could only look on in shock at the scene unfolding before her. It was Toby who decided that it was only right to bury the two girls -- and with that, the group began the grueling task of digging graves using only the tin cans they were provided with in their daypacks.

Upon finishing Madelaine's burial, the group was interrupted by a new presence in the area -- [[Kousaka Takeda]]. Sensing that the boy posed a threat to her allies, Takara approached him in an effort to seduce him and end things on a more "peaceful" level than to execute him in cold blood. [[Vince Samsa]] soon joined the party, but Takara paid him no mind, instead refusing to take her eyes off of Kousaka. With a little backup from the boys, Takara succeeded in unarming the threat, only to have his weaponry stolen by Vince, who took off in a sprint.

The next thing Takara knew, bullets were flying. If not for the heroic efforts of Toby Valerik, she might well have fallen in the fray. Toby, however, had tackled her and received an injury for his efforts. Kousaka was, of course, still standing there, which enraged Takara all the more. It was Chance who dismissed the now weaponless boy and offered him a second chance at life, much to Takara's annoyance. The quartet found themselves in a debate about leaving the area, though their course of action was decided for them once the river turned into a danger zone, forcing them to flee to their next destination.

That destination would be the makeshift hospital, and would also be the final resting place of half of the group. The carnage at the hospital was even worse than that of the river, but for the moment, it was their sanctuary. During their moment of peace, Takara set about bandaging up Sidney, who had been injured during the attack at the river. What happened next could only be described as horrific. The group was approached by a girl claiming to be a mute from Canada. When her plan fell through, the girl was revealed as terrorist [[Angelina Kaige]], and in the struggle that ensued, Sidney accidentally shot Chance and ended his life. Takara went numb, watching in horror as Chance fell and Sidney and the terrorist fled.

It was when terrorist [[terrorists|Elijah Rice]] and [[Clemence Ceillet de Rousseau]] approached to clean house that Takara finally snapped. As Rice pointed his assault rifle at Toby, Takara charged at him without regard for her own safety. Takara might've expected a barrage of bullets from the terrorist's gun, but she hadn't expected the sole bullet from [[Drew Lynn]]'s gun that shattered her shoulder. Despite the life-threatening injury, Takara refused to give in. The only thing that mattered now was protecting Toby -- making sure his life didn't end in this place. Clemence attacked her, and as Takara went to fight back, demanded the terrorist aide her in eliminating Takara. Takara took it upon herself to remove Toby from the battlefield. What she got for her efforts was an onslaught of bullet's from Rice's gun. It was at this point that Takara did the only thing that was left to do -- she drug her failing body up to Clemence and proceeded to detonate her own collar into the side of Clemence's leg.

'''Post-Game Evaluation:''' Takara had the right idea -- she had no qualms about playing the game, no qualms about killing her fellow students -- but she was doing it for all the wrong reasons. Sure, she might not have had anything to go home to, but her selfless sacrifice for Toby Valerik was in vain anyway. Toby was gunned down by the very boy he'd left her for dead with at the hospital, the very boy who shot Takara in the shoulder. Guess Toby should've put more thought into who his true friends were.

*While Takara didn't actively jump in in an effort to save Chance's life, she ultimately sacrificed herself for Toby. This brings up questions of just how deep her loyalties to the boy lied, and the fact that perhaps Takara might have had some semblance of a crush on Toby before her untimely demise. However, circumstances arose and [[riserugu]] wound up sacrificing her character instead, leaving Meg with 4 characters when the cap rolled around.

Madison had given up on her life long dream of being an elementary school teacher. She no longer cared for anything, except for her music. To make matters worse her father died in a car accident. The pain she felt drove her to experiment with drugs. She quit though because she didn't really like them. Entering high school she had a reputation for causing trouble, which made the kids stay away from her. She was once again a loner. '''Biography:''' The only child of a well-known Broadway actor, and a ballerina she spent the first eight years of her life in living the hustle and bustle of New York City. Before a car accident ended her mother’s dancing career and placed her in a wheelchair for the rest of her life. The city life soon became too difficult for her mother, and deciding it for best her father packed up all of their belongings and moved them to a smaller, more simpler town not to far from New York City. Her father started working for the local theater, while her mother started to slowly begin a business out of the home as a way to keep her busy and off thoughts of her accident that had occurred. Lucinda began attending the local elementary school, and began performing in the local plays at the theater, as well as singing, dancing, and piano lessons.

She became quite well known amongst the local theater groups as she grew in both age, and talent. As she entered high school she quickly became a member of the school’s drama team, also joining up onto the volleyball team as something to keep her in shape. Though she isn’t one of the best players on the team, in fact she usually only goes, in when the team is ahead by a good number of points, she stills enjoys the game none the less. Her academics around the same as any average student mostly Bs with the rare A popping up from time to time on her report card, but still worked hard to be a good daughter for her family.

Lucinda recently performed in the school’s performance of Chicago as one of the leading ladies, Velma Kelly. And got quite a good review for her part, as the team went on to win noy only region, and city as well… though came at a third place when at state. During her ninth grade year, she became quite into the new age scene of loud colors and even louder music, though this didn’t affect her personality (she still as bright, and cheerful as even) her styles of dress did change from dull colors, consisting of pants and plain shirts. To a more ‘altertive’ like style, though she hates being called punk as that isn’t what she’s going for at all.

Though she has told her friends, and parents, that boys are the last thing on her mind. She saying, “Let me worry about my life first, before I think about sharing it with another.” There is a certain boy, that can turn her about as red as tomato, and unable to think of anything when she in the same room with him. This has turned some of her classmates away from her because of her views on certain touchy subjects, but in all truth she doesn’t care all too much about it all as long as she has the friends that care about her and stick by her. '''Appearance:''' Jamie is the kind of girl that is easily ignored. The kind of girl you could sit next to in maths class for weeks without even noticing she was there. Humble to the point of shyness, she hates drawing attention to herself and as a result is constantly dressing down her equally as humble looks. Her light brown hair is usually pulled back into a neat braid or a ponytail which reaches just between her shoulder blades. Not terribly tall, she stands at 5’1” and is fairly skinny. With a plain, round face, pale blue eyes and a small, ordinary nose, Jamie is physically average in just about every way possible.

She wears basic, sensible clothes – jeans or black pants with plain coloured button-up shirts or a light cardigan with a simple t-shirt underneath. She refuses to wear anything too bright, sticking to mostly pastel colours, whites and blacks. Her footwear consists of two pairs of shoes – a pair of runners for gym class and a pair of plain black sandals for casual wear. She always wears a small gold cross around her neck.

'''Biography:''' Jamie was born the only girl of eight children. Being the third youngest of the eight, her parents, having been ‘gifted’ with five boys before her, were convinced that Jamie would also be a boy and decided on the name ‘James.’ Her father even went so far as to carve the name on the head-piece of the crib he had built before the child was even born. Needless to say, both were somewhat shocked to see that their new born baby was in fact a girl. So putting on their thinking caps, her parents brainstormed possible ways to get around the name-dilemma for they couldn’t exactly call their little girl James. But the name had already been carved into the crib, which was a long running iron-clad Robins Family tradition. Her mother had always loved the name Amy, but her father was insistent that the name begin with ‘J’ and through a careful combination of the two ideas, Jamie was named. All her father had to do was turn the ‘es’ from the James carved into the crib into a messy looking ‘ie.’ Unfortunately, her was mother still really wanted the name Amy and was not quite satisfied at the chosen spin off, and consequently she did the unthinkable and gave her daughter a rhyming name. Jamie Amy Robins.

Jamie lived with her family in a small town in South Dakota, where her father worked as an engineer and her mother looked after the kids. The whole family were deeply religious, attending church twice a week, and practically lived out of the bible. In short, they were as happy and peaceful a family as you could find, if nonetheless poor, and were well respected members of the community. All that changed around Christmas time a few months after her tenth birthday. She was so excited to have been chosen to be the head angel in her classes nativity play. It was only a small show, just for the family and friends of the class members, but to poor, shy Jamie it was the biggest thing ever. She was standing up on the stage, ready to say her first line, when a truck crashed through the church where the class was performing. The impact killed twenty people, her mother and two of her brothers included.

Jamie and her family tried to see God’s purpose in the incident, prayed for their lost family members, and tried moving on in life, but found the memories all too painful. As a result her father put in for an application to be transferred to a bigger job in another state and was successful, so what was left of the Robins family packed their things and moved to... New York. Since then their family has struggled financially, city living is far more expensive and her second oldest brother has had to take on the duty of looking after the kids.

'''Mid-game evaluation''': Mallory could arguably have had the most unfortunate start out of anyone in SOTF, after waking up she was immediately discovered and almost killed by [[Cillian Crowe]], she got rescued by [[Callum Hadley]], who mistook her for [[Beth]]. After fleeing the scene, she immediately bumped into [[Cody Jenson]] but remarkably managed to escape all of them without a scratch.

She then ended up in the [[Locations|Makeshift Hospital]], where she came across [[Jeremy Torres]], [[Miranda Grey]], [[Aiden Ambrose]], [[Daisuke Andou]], [[Eddie Serjeantson]], [[Fredrik Hughes]], [[Glenn Hughes]] and [[Heather Pendergast]]. At first keeping quiet and too herself, her silence was broken by an attack of hayfever, and she sneezed loudly, giving Glenn the chance to give her some tissues. Struck by this act of kindness, she felt more at ease; that was, until [[Daphne Rudko]] showed up, killing off [[Eddie Serjeantson]] and [[Miranda Grey]]. Fleeing into the hospital itself, Mallory found herself hiding while the others shot at Daphne. To add to the chaos, [[Jason Andrews]] turned up and a proper shootout commenced. She tried to run, but ended up falling over and impaling her shin on a sickle, the designated weapon of [[Jeremy Torres]]. Jeremy and Glenn came over to help Mallory get it out. In a moment of panic, Mallory grabbed Glenn's hand, which was the moment that she started to get feelings towards the younger Hughes brother.

When [[Danya]] announced that the hospital was now a danger zone, she fled the area (with the help of Glenn) to the Woods. Feeling more or less safe, she made some attempts to get closer to Glenn. The party then moved to the School Building, where things appeared to be getting hairy. Resigned to stand outside and wait with Jeremy while everyone else went in to see, Mallory became impatient with agitated with the fact that she couldn't help Glenn. [[Eh-Sun Choi]], [[Stevan Hyde]], [[Peri Barclay]] and [[Antonio Franchini]] turned up and added even more chaos, and yet another shoot out commenced. Glenn and Mallory fled the scene to the [Locations|[Lookout Point]].

It was there that they helped clean each other up, and at one point almost kissed. However, [[Peri Barclay]] showed up once more and threatened Mallory with a choice- she had to decide whether she died or Glenn died. Mallory offered to sacrifice herself, but Peri shot Glenn regardless, killing him and leaving Mallory alone.

Naturally, the effect of watching Glenn die was devastating for her, and for a while she could do nothing but kneel beside the boy's corpse, but after a while she got herself together and swore revenge on Peri. Meeting up with Jeremy at the Hillside Cliff, he offered his help in tracking the boy down. Although she was grateful for the assisantce, Mallory made him swear that he wouldn't get involved once Peri was found, the idea of losing yet another friend on the island too much for her.

The two of them travelled for a while, running into [[Jason Andrews]] before Mallory felt so lost and confused that she needed to be alone. Leaving Jeremy and Jason behind, she went back to the Lookout Point and back to Glenn's corpse, forgetting that the area was now a danger zone. Needless to say, her collar exploded and she died next to Glenn, her hand in his.

She barely remembered going down herself, but when she did, she walked right up to him and introduced herself. They became acquainted for the rest of the day, and he asked her out later that week. They were always together, and Hannah's guy friends, though secretly jealous, all knew that Kurt was a great guy for her. Then, one day, she went to Kurt's house to hang out for the evening, and found him dead in his room with a bullet in his head. The note read something about being curious about the afterlife, and Hannah was wrecked inside. She knew that she should have gotten him involved with her youth group, and she vowed never to let anyone she knew die unsaved again.

Already suspicious, Hannah accused him of trying to sneak up on her, which Adib denied adamantly. When asked what weapon she drew, Hannah lied to Adib, telling him she'd received a brick and disguarded it at the start of the game, unsure of whether or not she could trust the boy. Moments later, Adib saw the gun she had drawn and, positive that she had tried to trick him and kill him, the Arab boy attacked. Hannah did the only thing she could do in the situation: she retaliated. The end result of the encounter was the death of Adib, after which Hannah fled the bamboo coppice in horror.

Hannah found herself wandering down the dirt path, where she encountered [[Lucinda Garnett]]. After discovering the girl was not hostile, and was in fact in almost exactly the same predicament as herself, Hannah decided to align herself with the girl. As Lucinda mentioned heading to the coppice, a chill ran down Hannah's spine as she recollected the events that had just unfolded there, but she followed her nonetheless.

Lagging behind Lucinda a bit, she caught up with her in the coppice as Lucinda was speaking to fellow Barry Colesoner [[Adam Dodd]]. Hannah remained silent throughout the encounter and throughout [[Danya]]'s announcement, finally vocalizing herself at Lucinda's request to leave the coppice.

Somewhere, between the coppice and their next destination, the two became separated, and Hannah found herself at the warehouse. What she didn't know was that Lucinda had actually just left only moments ago, after snapping and attacking one of the warehouse occupants, [[Martyn "Murdoc" Ferdinand|Martyn Ferdinand]]. Scared, Hannah approached group of [[Jill Gatling]], [[Jack O'Connor]], [[Sidney Crosby]], and Martyn as they stood outside the warehouse. A rather jumpy Jill interrogated Hannah with the help of Jack as she approached, but finding Hannah was rather docile, the interrogation ceased rather quickly. Jack instructed Hannah to leave, however, out of sympathy, Jill allowed her to stay, under the condition that she surrender her weapon and pack, which Hannah did immediately.

Hannah and co. formed somewhat of a shaky alliance to escape and everything was going well, that is, until [[Jeremy Torres]], [[Ryan Torres]], and [[Clare Shephard]] arrived outside. Somewhere within all the chaos, Sidney expressed his wishes to escape to Hannah. Together, they headed to the roof, followed by Jack O'Connor. Somewhere along the line Hannah began to hallucinate, thinking she saw Kurt. As she ran toward him, she slipped and fell off the roof. Crosby attempted to lend her a hand, but with the coming of [[Terrorists|Angelina Kaige]] and the grenade she'd just launched into the warehouse, Hannah fell to her death.

She has large, round, light blue eyes and eyebrows that are so slightly arched that they almost appear straight. Lyndi has a thin face with highly defined cheekbones and large, pouty lips. She does not wear much makeup, but the makeup that she applies makes her look much older than 16. She has often been mistaken for being 19 or 20 years old. Lyndi has worn makeup ever since she turned 13, not so much because she wanted to look older, but because she is a perfectionist and deems it necessary to hide her "flawed" skin. Of course, Lyndi counts a few freckles and a light mole near her right ear lobe as flaws. Lyndi's ears are pierced twice in each lobe and her right one is pierced again on the top of her ear. Her skin is tan in color, Lyndi has been known to spend a bit too much time in the tanning bed working on that "perfect tan".

In terms of body style, Lyndi is very petite. She stands approximately 5'1" and weighs around 110 pounds. Lyndi is a stunter on the cheerleading squad; i.e. she tumbles and they throw her up in the air. Her knee has been damaged through her stunting and she is sometimes required to wear a knee brace when she cheers because of it. Other than her bad knee, Lyndi is in good physical shape from all her stunting. After all, it takes a lot more physical ability than most people would think to do 10 back handsprings in a row. Describing Lyndi's choice of attire as "preppy" would probably hit the nail on the head. Nearly every article of clothing she owns is name-brand and overly expensive. Lyndi has been priveleged in the fact that she has never had to wear hand-me-down clothing or shop in thrift stores. On the day of the trip Lyndi adorned a white t-shirt with the word "Abercrombie" scrolled across the front, a pair of very short black shorts with two stripes down either side of the leg, and a pink hoodie, also with the Abercrombie emblem on it. Her hair was pulled up into a high ponytail and affixed with a pink ribbon.

'''Biography:''' Lyndi has been fortunate enough to have the life that many children only dream of. She was born to Shaun and Sandi Thibodeaux in the thriving city of San Francisco, California. Even now, Lyndi's parents are still married. She has one sibling, Jared, her elder by two years. The two siblings are very close and Jared has always kept a watchful eye over Lyndi. Her father is an executive of a large advertising firm, and his job is what caused the Thibodeaux family to abandon their sunny Californian home and head to upstate New York.

New York was a big change from California. There was no doubt about that. Despite that fact, Lyndi adapted rather well. She had always been an outgoing individual and made friends rather easily. This landed her in the "popular group" rather quickly. Somehow, though, Lyndi often felt as though she did not quite fit in with the social hierarchy of B.C. High School. Unlike the school she attended in California, the social "elite" of Barry Coleson were competitive to the point of being vicious. At least, that is what Lyndi thought.

Cheerleading tryouts rolled along, and this was a key element to Lyndi's social status at Barry Coleson. From a young age onward, she had taken a great interest in cheerleading and had even been on competitive teams in her younger days. This previous experience had lead her to be an expert stunter, tumbler, and highflyer. After an infallible performance during the try-outs, Lyndi landed a place on the squad, and finally, things just seemed to click for her.

Lyndi is an outgoing individual with a light-hearted personality. Unlike many of the social elitists that abound Barry Coleson, Lyndi was never a stuck-up or snobbish individual. She is a pretty girl and is somewhat popular. Unfortunately, Lyndi's grades are only average. Nobody is perfect, and academics came to be one of Lyndi's follies. She did well enough in school to get by, but never particularly excelled in her studies. Lyndi is a somewhat shallow-minded person and lives for the here-and-now, so to speak. She does not think about the future and what it holds often, she simply lives for the moment.

'''Other:''' Now that "big brother" is not here to protect her, Lyndi may find herself in somewhat of a bad situation. Not thinking ahead could prove to be her worst flaw. Being a cheerleader, she was popular, but most of the guys who talked to her were only interested because they thought she was "hot". Hence, Lyndi could have enemies that she does not even know, simply because they did not like what she was in school.

'''Mid-game evaluation:''' Awakening a little late in the game, Lyndi found herself on the ground near the gazebo, with the perfect view of the corpse of [[Dahlia Riviera]] to kick off her start to the game. Saying this was a traumatizing event for Lyndi would be a huge understatement, and after crying in a fetal position for a good while, she finally got the notion to pack up and leave the area. And thus, she began her travel down the dirt path, which was the real start of her journey.

Along her way to nowhere, she found herself reminiscing about her past, only to have [[Callum Hadley]] practically pop out of the woodwork on her. Finding Callum to be a friendly individual, and not a player, Lyndi quickly convinced him to stay with her. Not long afterward, [[Fredrik Hughes]] appeared onto the scene in a bloody mess. As the duo tried to tend to Fred's wounds, they were interrupted by a long-haired boy, [[Shinya Motomura]], who was looking to increase his weapons inventory.

Things were not looking good for the three, until [[Cody Jenson]] roared onto the scene on a motorcycle he had confiscated from someone's shed, and he and Shinya found themselves engaged in a little battle before Shinya took off with Cody ''presumably'' behind him. At this point, the three decided to pack up and continue on the road that would inevitably take them to the lighthouse, but not before patching Fred up and acquiring a new member to the party, Lyndi's childhood best friend, [[Elsie Darroch]].

Their trip to the lighthouse was a short one, and Fred and Lyndi got there just a bit before everyone else, allowing the two to become closer. Callum followed en suite, but quickly left them, claiming that [[Beth]] (whoever she might have been) was in trouble and that he had to save her. As Callum darted off into the unknown, Elsie finally made an appearance, and the three of them rested a bit at the lighthouse. It was at this point that [[Vince Samsa]] stumbled onto the scene, and although Lyndi was quick to trust him, the other two seemed a bit wary.

Reluctantly accepting Vince into their little group, it was a short-lived occassion, as just about that time, [[Cody Jenson]] returned. In an act of nobility, Fred instructed the girls to get into the lighthouse, insisting that he would deal with the "loony". The girls bolted inside the lighthouse, and Vince was soon to follow, leaving Fred to contend with Cody on his own. Inside the lighthouse, Lyndi went through a flurry of emotions before finally going off on Vince for leaving Fred (who by this time, she had grown to have quite the crush on) outside by himself.

At that point, she simply left Samsa in the lighthouse, insisting that she was at least going to try to help. Elsie followed, but hearing the sound of gunshots, Lyndi quickly instructed her to go back inside. Lyndi rounded the corner just as Cody began pummelling Fred with a barrage of bullets that sent hiim off the cliff and into a watery grave. At that point, Samsa returned from inside the lighthouse, only to virtually abandon Lyndi. After a struggle between herself and Jenson which resulted in a bullet wound to her calf, Cody virtually took the girl prisoner and headed off to the woods with her.

In the woods, Cody found an opposition in the form of [[Arsenio Thanodeus]], who was currently congregated in a clearing along with [[Drew Lynn]], [[Cassie Webber]], and [[Ryan Ashmore]]. Cody attacked Arsenio, sending the other three scattering. During the chaos that followed, Drew and Cassie ran off, but Ryan, who had served many a time as her tutor in high school, decided to play the hero. While Jenson and Arsenio battled, Ryan snuck around to Lyndi's position and the two ran off into the woods in a futile attempt to escape Cody Jenson.

In the woods, Lyndi and Ryan were ensnared in Cody's traps, but somehow managed to escape. However, something seemed a little off about Ryan. In a thrilling moment, Ryan told Lyndi he knew a way off the island. Seconds later, however, Ryan revealed that the way off the island was through death, and promptly made an attempt at "freeing" Lyndi. Lyndi fought off her attacker, but received several wounds in the process. The battle finally ended when Ryan's knife was accidentally embedded in his throat after the two tumbled down a hill, leaving the chilled and horrified Lyndi to fend for herself. After Ryan's death, Lyndi forced herself to her feet and ran as far away from the woods as she could get.

Her destination of choice wound up being the school. Upon entering, Lyndi encountered the multiple corpses that lay strewn about the small building, and in what could almost be deemed a state of delusion, she switched her shorts out for [[Tayli E. Vreeland]]'s jeans and used [[Daisuke Andou]] for a door prop. After barricading herself inside, Lyndi drifted off to sleep, but was jolted awake by a terrible nightmare and the arrival of [[Elsie Darroch]] outside. Not quick to open her arms to Elsie once again, Lyndi was somewhat suspicious, and interrogated her a bit. However, when [[Micheal Suarez]] made an appearance, the situation suddenly held an heir of urgency. Lyndi's final course of action was simple. She fled the scene, promising Elsie that they'd meet back at the lighthouse, hoping Suarez would follow her instead of going after her friend.

Lyndi's trek landed her at the hillside cliff, where she finally stopped to regain her breath before continuing her journey to the lighthouse to meet up with Elsie. Her journey was cut extremely short, however, with terrorist [[terrorists|Angelina Kaige]] appeared on the scene and decided to use Lyndi for target practice. Kaige made quick work of Lyndi, virtually paralyzing the girl before lining her up executioner-style and ending her laugh painfully in the form of a dropkick to the face.

'''End-game evaluation:''' Never had her pegged for a real contender anyway. Girl's priorities weren't straight. She came into the game swooning over some guy and playing the role of lovesick twit, and when he went and got himself killed, she was pretty much a lost puppy for the remainder of the game. Her constant need to protect her friend is what finally stuck her in the fryer, and it was that need that TBLUE fed upon, obliterating the foolish girl on her trek to meet up with her friend.

*Lyndi has already lasted much longer than she was intended to. Before the current storyline was set up, Lyndi was simply meant to be cannon fodder. Lyndi was originally a character from a story [[Megami]] wrote several years ago based around a high school. Her looks have not changed at all from the original Lyndi, but her personality and age have both been revamped. Her personality in SOTF is almost the opposite of what it was in the story. For example, here, Lyndi is portrayed as a goody-two-shoes, "virgin" kind of character. In the story, she was a bit of a whore.

*A somewhat surprising fact about Lyndi is that she has never really had a boyfriend. Though it was not directly stated in her profile, the fact was brought out slightly in her experiences with Callum and Fred. She talked to boys in school, and wasn't a social introvert, but she never had a boyfriend.

*Lyndi has a bad habit of getting way too close to people way too fast. This is portrayed well enough in the storyline involving herself and [[Fredrik Hughes]].

*The name "Lyndi" is simply a name [[Megami]] has always liked.

*The surname of "Thibodeaux" is the last name of a guy that [[Megami]] attended school with during her Freshman year of high school.

*It was established through the storyline that Cody kidnapped Lyndi because he had almost an obsession for her. However, Cody was actually supposed to rape Lyndi before letting her go, further establishing himself as a rapist. This was actually supposed to take place before his assault of [[Madelaine Shirohara]], but [[LadyMakaze]] was prepared for her part of the storyline before Megami was ready for the Cody/Lyndi storyline. [[Guitarjack87]] got tied up with school and Megami got impatient, eventually cancelling the storyline and using Lyndi to kill [[Ryan Ashmore]], whose had originally been assigned to Cody.

*Lyndi was supposed to kill herself during the "The Place Where It All Began" thread when she returned to the lighthouse, but Megami wanted to wait until the next roll so she'd have her swap card still available for use should she need to save [[Jill Gatling]] or someone else's character.

After hiding behind a rock at the eastern shore for the 5 days, it was by accident that she met up with [[Ryan Ashmore]]. Convinced he was going to kill her, it took some persuasion to calm her down, but eventually the two decided to team up.

Their first stop was the bathroom facility where the duo met [[Angharad Davies]]. After the girl's failed attempt to kill Ryan, Cassie tried talking her out of playing the game but found little success. She then had to calm Ryan down (who, it seemed, was close to having a nervous breakdown).

With Ryan calmed down, it was off to the woods where they almost immediately ran into [[Drew Lynn]] and [[Arsenio Thanodeus]]. After deciding they weren't playing either, the two tentatively exposed themselves and for a moment it looked like the duo was to become a quartet. But it wasn't meant to be- [[Cody Jenson]] came roaring in with [[Lyndi Thibodeaux]]. After being stunned with a flash grenade and watching Arsenio get shot, she took off on Ryan's order with Drew, leaving him behind to fend off Cody and save Lyndi.

Finding herself at the dark caves, Cassie awkwardly attempted to make conversation with Drew, before [[Nevera Aero]] and [[Scott Jameson]] turned up. Cassie fled deep into the caves on Drew's instruction, while the boy stayed and talked to them both. After realising neither of them were hostile, they decided to stick together. But more pressing issues were present; the dark caves had just been turned into a danger zone, and the four of them fled to the Eastern shore, where it had all begun for the girl.

After a quick discussion, the group decided they should try and find [[Jeremy Torres]], and so resigned to the fact that she was the group's 'leader', Cassie took them all to the Helicopter Crash site, where the body of [[Amber Phillips]] crushed under the wreckage was the last straw, and she flipped. Remembering how her father had betrayed her trust and left her, she decided couldn't trust anyone anymore. She turned on her former allies, announcing that she was playing the game, whether they liked it or not. Taunting the others about their solid stance on the game, she made to leave them when [[Drew Lynn]] called out to her. Things got out of hand and the boy ended up shooting her repeatedly, eventually causing her collar to explode.

Her brother is older by eleven years and is already off and married, so for much of her life it's been like she's an only child. From Texas to Maryland just before she turned three, Maryland to Ohio just after elementary school, and Ohio to New York just before her freshman year of high school. She has never been athletic, prefering to spend most of her time reading and listening to music.

Her personality became rather warped under the extreme shelter put over her life, with wild mood swings and a penchant for biting. Though she doesn't especially enjoy fighting, the third week of school she defended herself against another student the only way she knew how. Clare sported a rather nasty black eye and a split lip while the other girl recieved the image of Clare's teeth permanently scarred into her right forearm. Needless to say, the administration at Barry Coleson High decided that she was mentally unstable and had her transfered to an "alternative learning center", otherwise known as a delinquent school. Clare is really a good girl at heart, but is easily intimidated by others. She doesn't actually belong at her new school, no matter how much the administration believes.

'''Mid-Game Evaluation:''' Clare's journey began in the woods, where she quickly bumped into [[Ryan Torres]] and [[Neville Eden]]. The trio decided to align and take on the program together. Their first destination was the well, where they were approached by [[Dorian Greywood]]. Things with Dorian were going slowly but smoothly until [[Vince Samsa]] burst onto the scene -- quite literally. He threw a grenade at the group, causing them to scatter. A battle ensued, and after sustaining fatal wounds by Clare's shotgun, Vince killed himself. The trio had virtually no time to regroup themselves when [[Jason Andrews]] burst onto the scene. Doing the only thing they could given the circumstances, Clare and company turned tail and ran. The group made their way to the small house, where they were surprised to find that it had been occupied by [[Antonio Franchini]]. Clare sustained critical wounds in the battle, and Neville inevitably lost his life. They did, however, manage to eliminate Antonio from the competition, and Ryan and Clare were left alone in the small house. Soon enough, they ran into a blast from the past for Ryan -- [[Jeremy Torres]]. Soon after, [[Heather Pendergast]], who was apparently a close acquaintance of Jeremy's, appeared, only to die shortly thereafter of bloodloss. Knowing it was best to move on, Jeremy suggested they return to a place he'd spent much time in during the course of his stay on the island -- the warehouse. They arrived only to find that it had been occupied by the group of [[Jack O'Connor]], [[Jill Gatling]], [[Martyn "Murdoc" Ferdinand|Martyn Ferdinand]], [[Sidney Crosby]], and [[Hannah Juett]], and apparently, they weren't accepting new applicants. After a failed attempt to gain entry to the warehouse, hell broke loose when [[Angelina Kaige]] approached and all but annihilated the warehouse group with one of her grenades. The aftermath of this attack would prove to be Clare's final battle. As Kaige retreated from the warehouse, she sniped Clare, effectively eliminating one more from the competition.

She has full lips and white, straight teeth, which she obtained from years of braces. Jill also has dimples that really stand out when she smiles. '''Biography:''' Jill has grown up in a relatively normal home. Her mother is a simple housewife and her father is a member of the police force. Jill has always admired her father and hoped to one day follow his footsteps and join the police force. Despite Jill's wishes, her father highly disapproved of this action. Needless to say, Jill grew up with a high sense of justice. Despite this, she is a very accepting person, and knows that others do not always agree with what is "right" or "wrong". Jill still retains both sets of grandparents and has a rather extensive family. She has yet to deal with any death in her life.

From a young age, Jill was a tomboy at heart. In grade school, she never played dolls with the girls. Instead, she was busy climbing trees and playing on the jungle gym with the boys. Even now, Jill enjoys being physically active. Practically the moment she entered Junior High, she began joining all sorts of clubs, organizations, and sports teams. This trend continued into high school, where she was forced to slow down somewhat and concentrate more on her studies. Her parents, especially her father, are pushing her to get a medical degree after high school, though that is certainly not what Jill had in mind.

On the outside, Jill Gatling is a real spitfire and always has been. Even when she was little, Jill was always vocal, energetic, and overall, very pleasant. She has retained these qualities into her teenage years. Jill has the ability to smile in almost any situation, despite her true feelings. On the outside, Jill is always happy and she is always friendly. She was rather popular in school because of these qualities. On the inside, however, Jill has a lot of stress pent up. Her inability to show others emotions like sadness and fear has left her with some stress issues. By talking to Jill, however, let alone looking at her, many would never assume this fact.

Despite this slight issue, Jill could best be described as "real", something many people nowadays are not. She does not pretend to be something or someone she is not. Even though she comes from an upper middle-class family, she socializes with everyone. Jill has never had a "better-than-thou" attitude and she is not quick to judge. However, if Jill decides she does not like someone, they have a tendency to stay on her bad list for life.

'''Mid-game Evaluation:''' Starting the game on somewhat of a detour after an accident that occurred while she was dropped from the helicopter, Jill began at the Eastern Shore. Finding the place to be all but desolate, she soon decided to head toward shelter. Once she had decided on the warehouse, Jill set off from the eastern shore, in somewhat of a dillusional state.

Upon her arrival at the warehouse, Jill encountered the duo of [[Adam Dodd]] and [[Martyn "Murdoc" Ferdinand|Martyn Ferdinand]], who were currently in a rather sticky situation. Together, the three of them managed to free [[Amanda Jones]] and [[Madelaine Shirohara]] from their warehouse prison, and not a moment too soon. Just as the trio entered the warehouse and reunited with the girls, Mr. [[Danya]] declared the place a danger zone, and the five of them had to hightail it out of there.

This decision brought the five to the river, a place that held much signifance to seemingly everyone in the party except for Jill. At the river, the group met up with another semi-large group, leaving Jill feeling uncomfortable around the many people who had united in the area. Her feelings of discomfort were quickly washed away, however, when Madelaine and Amanda both lost their lives to Cody Jenson at this site.

At this point, the group split up, going their seperate ways. Jill found herself wandering into an open field, where she was soon accompanied by Martyn. Martyn had discovered a new battery for his laptop his friends had given him as an early birthday present. With this new-found asset, Martyn was ready to formulate a plan to escape the island. In the open field, the two encountered [[Jack O'Connor]], a well-known hacker around the school.

After teaming up with Jack, and at Martyn's suggestion, the three headed to the river. Jill arrived at the river just in time to see a body topple over the falls, further scaring the young woman. The river trip proved relatively uneventful after that, and after picking up another addition, [[Micheal Suarez]], the group set out to the warehouse.

Arriving first at the warehouse, Jill was greeted by a bullet to the shoulder from [[Luca Donovan]], who had perched herself atop the roof of the warehouse after it had been cleared from being a danger zone. A struggle ensued between the two women, with another new face, [[Gillaume "Gilbert" Archambault|Gilbert Archambault]], trying to come to Jill's aide. The fight ended when Luca finally suffered a bullet to the forehead from her own gun.

During this critical moment for Jill, another battle ensued, as a bullet from Gilbert's gun misfired. [[Jason Andrews]] popped onto the scene and was almost hit by it. Jason in turn shot Gilbert, killing him, only to in turn be killed by Adam Dodd, who had returned to the warehouse. After an exchange of words between Jack and Adam, Jack and Martyn headed into the warehouse, leaving Jill to vent her frustrations on Adam. After the brief exchange between herself and Dodd, Jill rejoined her companions in the warehouse. It was there that Jack made his first attack on Danya's systems. Of course, he did not accomplish much, just enough to possibly spook the terrorists. After hacking into their systems, the three thought it best to throw the terrorists off of them as much as possible. Thus, they vocalized thoughts on playing and planted false distrust for the terrorists to pick up.

While Jill and Jack "argued" inside the warehouse, Martyn was attacked outside by [[Lucinda Garnett]], who stole his weapon and attempted to slit his throat before disappearing into the shrubbery. As Jack and Jill attempted to tend to Martyn's wounds, [[Sidney Crosby]] came in with a boom, quite literally, as he ran headfirst into the warehouse wall. Finding Crosby unarmed, the trio allowed him to stay, but quickly found another problem in the form of [[Hannah Juett]], who had also appeared, scared senseless by the events unfolding around her. After quite an outburst by Jill toward the other girl, they found her to be rather compliant, following orders without question. Once establishing where everyone stood, Sidney recommended they take the party inside the warehouse.

After entering the warehouse, Jill set about informing their two new companions of their escape plan and the urgency of keeping it a secret. Everything was going fine, that is, until the Eighth Announcement. The moment it was revealed that Sidney had killed fellow student [[Chance Burton]], Jack immediately turned on him. Hannah and Jill stood up for the boy, but in the midst of all the turmoil, another interruption occurred, this time in the form of [[Ryan Torres]]. Ryan pleaded with the group inside the warehouse to allow him in. Jill's response was a hail of bullets coming from the second story window of the warehouse. By this point, the nine days they had spent on the island had begun getting to Jill, and she was unable to accept anyone else into their group.

As the chaos and turmoil continued to unfold at the warehouse with appearances by the likes of [[Nevera Aero]] and [[Eh-Sun Choi]], another face made her way onto the scene: that of terrorist [[Terrorists|Angelina Kaige]]. After discovering the group barricaded in the warehouse with the computer, Kaige threw a grenade inside, hoping to destroy them all on one fell swoop. Her plan worked wonders, and Jill Gatling met a bloody end as the grenade fragments that had entered her body caused her to slowly bleed to death.

Odd that she realized that alliances would get her nowhere, yet continued to stay with a group of people at all times. I've said it before and I'll say it again, another waste of potential.

*Jill was originally created for another BR-esque roleplaying forum that did not get very far off the ground. Her biography has been altered considerably from what it was on that forum. The original Jill Gatling wanted to be a police officer and had been trained to use a gun by her father. She was also 18 and a Senior in high school.

*Jill's first name was taken from Resident Evil's Jill Valentine. Her appearance was also based off of Jill Valentine.

*The last name of Gatling comes from one of [[Megami]]'s friends.

*Near the beginning of Jill's stint on the island, Meg toyed around with the thought of Jill having a slight crush on her friend [[Adam Dodd]]. The most obvious point where this is brought out is in the scene in the open field, before Martyn arrived. The parents could only stand so much of the whining that the girl was insistent upon every day; they finally had to give up many of their simple ways for that of the big city life, moving closer in to the suburbs and focusing on giving their little girl the world. Many of their friends turned away from them. And, although they found another coven, had to start working their way back to a priest and priestess. None of these things ever seemed to affect the little girl, except that she got everything she wanted.

By the age of twelve little Cleo was as rotten as they come. At home, if she did not get her way, she would throw the biggest tantrums she could. Oft' times she would focus on the altar that her parents kept, trashing it and burning things to bits. One night, after her parents put their foot down and told her she would not be staying up later than 9, Cleo spun into such rage that she struck her mother in the face. That night, while her mother was icing her bruised eye, both parents decided to move back into a small apartment. They would keep their high-paying jobs, but would never cater to their daughter's whim anymore. Instead, they started to pay for psychology.

Cleo resented her psychiatrist, Mr. Jacowitz, with a fervor. She was diagnosed with ADHD, and given Concerta to keep her fairly passive. And it did, the doctor prescribing almost a years worth in one sitting. Cleo began to take double the amounted dose. Her brain became intensley sluggish, and instead of focusing on material objects like in her youth, she sought for control of people. Control of herself.

By the age of 13 Cleo, like the ancient egyptian ruler Cleopatra (whom she was also named after), had manipulation down to an art. Taking part in many language and writing classes, she disguised herself as a intellectual poet. A smart girl, who, though not very attractive, had the allure of mystery. People were lead to believe she was very devoted to Wicca, like her parents, but she was instead heavily engaged in the dark arts.

In her psychiatry sessions, which she now had once a week, she started to use her talents to manipulate the psychiatrist into a 5 month long affair. After which, she filed rape and sent the man to prison for at least a dozen counts of molestation. A new psychiatrist, this time female, was fooled into diagnosing her with depression, and the prescription changed. Cleo became erradically violent, often taking part in violent rituals which amounted into the killing of numerous neighborhood pets. This she kept a secret from everyone, still needing the control desperately.

In her freshman year, Cleo had many boys wrapped around her finger. The lust for materials began to resurface, and she began to milk the boys for anything they were worth. In an act of confidence, Cleo tried her manipulation with an older student by the name of [[Eddie Serjeantson]], whom ended up stronger-willed than she had hoped. The end of the year trip was supposed to be her second chance at "the one who got away," but... since when do things turn out the way they should?

As an only child living with a rather over-protective mother, Nanami struggled to please her mother by following her every order and trying to measure up to her standards. However, Nanami had always felt a need to be independent, to make her own choices instead of letting her mother do them for her. Instead of talking to her mother directly, Nanami found indirect ways to subtly rebel against her mother. For example, she would 'misunderstand' orders, or somehow 'forget' them. Or she may not comply at all and defend herself with excuses. Only on occasion would she make a fuss, or even an outburst, never knowing that she only had to talk to her mother in order to show a healthy assertion. To her, this was the only way she could feel a sense of independence. But her mother never understood, and only scolded her, thinking her to be troublesome. Always she would bring up the fact that she was the one who took care of Nanami when no one else would, and in return Nanami should behave like a good daughter and follow orders. Always, as a result of guilt, Nanami would return to her usual passivity, until she became irritable again. Thus, the result of Nanami's upbringing was her passive-aggressive personality. Though Nanami seemed placid and docile, in truth, she lived her life under a dark cloud.

At school, Nanami was always labelled as one of those quiet, passive girls who always showed politeness in front of others. The teachers liked her because she was always docile and compliant, always following instructions. However, she was never the favourite, because she never made an effort to express her own opinions or show creativity.

At the age of 7, Nanami moved with her Mother to Japan. It was since 2nd grade that Nanami had been close friends with a girl one year older, one grade higher, named [[Madelaine Shirohara]]. Upon meeting her during the opening ceremony for the school year, Madelaine almost immediately took Nanami under her wing and in return, Nanami latched on to her. Out of class, in and out of the campus, the two were a common sight together. Nanami's company was always appreciated by Madelaine, who made it a point to look after and always stand by the younger girl.
While this sort of friendship between the two girls suited Nanami's passivity, Nanami soon began comparing herself to Madelaine while they became close. Madelaine always stood out for her coolness and maturity, as well as her confident nature. She was always looking after others, and though she never paid attention to the fact, there were people who looked up to the older-sister figure Madelaine Shirohara. Comparing herself to Madelaine, Nanami saw herself as plain and mediocre, having no special qualities of her own, and even went so far to believe that Madelaine only befriended Nanami out of pity.

Nevertheless, Nanami still felt obliged to latch onto Madelaine out of her passive, dependant nature, though resentment has been gradually growing inside, unbeknownst to all, including Madelaine herself. This resentment was probably the result of Nanami's realization that as long as Madelaine existed and remained friends with her, Nanami would always end up living in her shadow.

Although ashamed of the fact, Nanami was relieved when Madelaine finally graduated junior high school and moved on to America to continue with her high school education. But the relief was only fleeting. Nanami found herself suddenly lost and alone without Madelaine to protect her, for all the years spent depending on her. This fact only made Nanami resent Madelaine even more, for it only enforced her belief that Nanami was pitiful and dependant after all. With Madelaine, she was only a shadow. Without Madelaine, she was nothing at all. This was what she truly believed. She stuggled to get by on her own, though in her mind, she still has a need to latch onto Madelaine. Part of her resents Madelaine for making her feel lowly, part of her feels a need to hold onto Madelaine, even though she is overseas.

Although Nanami has made it a point to write occasionally to Madelaine, she has already accepted, and perhaps to some degree, embraced the fact that she may never have to be Madelaine's shadow again.

Just one week prior to abduction, Nanami and her mother moved back to America. Nanami had been enlisted in a school in the Oregon state, and had been walking to her new school for the first time during the time of disappearance.

It was when Madelaine approached that Nanami realized that the other uniformed girl was indeed Shirohara-san. While Madelaine embraced Nanami tightly in a warming hug, Nanami herself couldn't help but feel a tinge of disgust at encountering Madelaine once again.

It was as the girls talked that Nanami expressed her discomfort with the group to Madelaine and told her that she wished for both herself and Madelaine to leave them. While Nanami pleaded with Madelaine and seemed to be winning, Adam overheard the conversation and personally criticized Nanami for her actions (side note: this is known throughout SOTF as the "Morphine Rant", and is one of the more famous Adam Dodd rants). As per usual, Madelaine stood up for Nanami and welcomed her with open arms into their group. As the group pondered their next move, however, Nanami set to the side, slowly hatching a plan of her own. Eventually, Nanami told Madelaine she wanted to talk in private, and pulled her away from the remainder of the group.

Once Madelaine had been dragged into the treeline, it became disturbingly apparent that Nanami did not want to talk. Instead, Nanami aimed her issued gun toward Madelaine and, seemingly without remorse, pulled the trigger on her own best friend. Madelaine's friends ran to the rescue, but Nanami viciously kicked Madelaine away from them and held her at gunpoint, threatening to kill her then and there if anyone tried to stop what was going on. David didn't buy into Nanami's threats and fired off a shot at her, hitting her in the wrist (he'd intended to shoot her gun out of her hands, but missed). This caused Nanami to pull back on the trigger, sending a bullet flying toward Madelaine's head that narrowly missed and grazed her cheek instead. It appeared for a while that perhaps the group was making headway with their pleas, but their words eventually sent Nanami over the edge, and she vowed to kill them all.

Amanda Jones was to be her first unlucky victim, but before Nanami could pull the trigger of the gun, a bullet tore through her chest, causing her to go limp. Behind her stood Madelaine Shirohara, now holding the gun Amanda had given her sometime prior to the events. Immediately, Madelaine was screaming for someone to help the girl she had mortally wounded. Ironically, the only person of the group to come to Nanami's aide was Adam Dodd, the one person who'd constantly belittled and insulted her prior. Nanami's life was a lost cause, even she knew that. Now, her only goal was to take Madelaine to the great beyond along with her. Nanami pointed the gun at her once again, this time determined to end her life. What Madelaine said next would change everything for Nanami Nishida, however. In a truly heartwrenching scene, Madelaine apologized, and Nanami finally realized what a fool she'd been all along. It was too little, too late, however, and Nanami finally succumbed to her wounds, her last words being a barely audible "Sorry, Madelaine..." that wasn't heard by anyone but Adam Dodd. In the end, Nanami's apology ended up coming second-hand, and she'd never know if it would be able to make up for what she'd done.

*I don't suppose I realized how big of an impact Nanami had on Madelaine until I actually read back through the story to do the character evaluation. I always assumed she'd died so early into her game that she didn't have time to make much of an impact. Boy, was I wrong. The story of friendship and betrayal between Nanami and Madelaine is easily one of the more heartwrenching stories I've read in SOTF, and Nanami's revelations near the time of her death made me teary-eyed. Throughout the conflict, Cydni tried to stay hidden, but was discovered when Dorian fell to the ground, exposing her whereabouts. In her haste, she picked up the boy's glasses as a form of defense. After Vince searched Dorian's pack to reveal that he had only been issued razor blades as weapons, Cydni reluctantly returned the boy's glasses to him. With that, Dorian made a hasty retreat, leaving Vince and Cydni alone. After a few moments of tense conversation, a shaky alliance was formed. The duo had quite a hard time finding a suitable location, though Vince finally decided on the bathroom facility, virtually leaving Cydni in the dust at that point.

Cydni did eventually head to the bathroom facility herself, but who she encountered there certainly wasn't Vince Noir. She watched from the bushes as [[Angharad Davies]] engaged herself in a conversation with [[Peri Barclay]], finally deciding on a course of action and charging at Angharad in the heat of the moment. Angharad was much faster than she'd expected, however, and Cydni was caught offguard when she retaliated. This enabled Angharad to retrieve the saber from the girl and behead her with her own weapon before Cydni fully realized what was happening.

Being somewhat tall for her gender and her age, her height has often caused her to stand out, particularly among girls. However this has become a lesser case now that she has transferred to America. She tends to keep her dark brown hair pulled back into low, unkempt ponytail pinned down with a thin, red ribbon. Bangs cut into a fringe curl inwards, framing her face, as do the forelocks curling slightly towards the inside of her face. Madelaine's facial features are soft, yet well defined, making her appear somewhat childish, yet mature at the same time. '''Biography:''' Madelaine was born to a Japanese mother who married an exchange student from America while still in high school. It would be easily to conclude that the couple, though they believed that they were ready to raise a family, were in fact unprepared to meet the needs of a growing child. Beginning at a very early age, Madelaine learned to fulfill her own needs and look after herself. By the time she reached the age of thirteen, she began to feel as though she was the only 'true adult' in the house next to her well-meaning, yet inexperienced parents. Oftentimes, it was Madelaine who had to look after her parents, encouraging them to be more responsible. There were times when she seemed more like a sibling or a colleague rather than a daughter. As a result, her own needs and wants were set aside. This was even more pronounced when her sister was born, as Madelaine had to put some of her own time into looking after her new sibling, whom she loved dearly. Because of her efforts, the family managed to stay together and pull through difficult times.
Outside of family life, Madelaine stood out among her schoolmates as a cool, confident, yet dependable person who seemed to be at a higher level of maturity than most. She could easily be described as the type of person who would 'keep to herself while looking after others'. Indeed, though she always seemed to prefer being alone, she always felt inclined to lend a helping hand when needed, giving advice, settling disputes, protecting her fellow schoolmates from those who would bully others.
During her time spent as a junior high school student in Japan, Madelaine (often addressed as Shirohara-san) worked hard to perform well in school. Thanks to her parents, she excelled in both English and Japanese easily. However, she possessed a passion for writing, and put most of her energy into the writing club she had joined in 7th grade. It was around that time that Madelaine adopted the habit of carrying a pocket diary, where she would be able to put her thoughts and musings into writing. She has held onto it ever since, and through the toughest of times, it has been a source of solace for her as well as venting her unapparent frustration at certain things.
She also put time into the archery club, though it remained a lesser priority to effort spent into working for the writing club(such as helping compiling and publishing the school analogy). During this time, she developed a keen eye and a skill in marksmanship, but never thought much of it as being practical.
Once Madelaine graduated from junior high school, her family moved to America, and so Madelaine transferred to a new school. To her dismay, there was no writing club available, but still found satisfaction in continuing to write in her pocket journal. She also joined the swim club, as she had taken lessons at an early age. Madelaine was able to cope with her new surroundings somewhat easily, since she was familiar with the English language and speech.

'''Other:''' Madelaine is democratic and level-headed, preferring to act defensively rather than show outright aggression. However, due to her circumstances, she knows that she'll have to kill to protect herself. At the very least, in a confrontation, she'll warn the hostile party to back off or else she'll have no choice but to kill them. She will not kill indiscriminately, but will not trust easily either. However, she may at times feel compelled to look after those who are helpless or cannot look after themselves, since she is used to taking care of and protecting others. Though she realizes that she has little chance of surviving, going down without a fight will not be an option for her. For Madelaine, her goal is not to survive and win, but simply to live as long as she can, in order to preserve a sense of living. Subconciously, she wants to help at least one other person live as long as is humanly possible in this game of survival.
While Madelaine does not trust easily, she is in fact honest, loyal and good-natured towards the people she does trust. Having spent most of her time focusing on her studies and taking care of her family, she has had little time to explore and experience 'the outside world' as we know it. She also believes that despite what may be happening right now, people are still good at heart. (to some degree at least) However, once she trusts someone, she tends to be naive in believing that they will do her no wrong in the future.
Along with other personal effects, Madelaine has brought along her pocket diary, a pen, and a photograph of her family. Should she become frustrated or desperate, her pocket diary will probably be the sole means of preserving her sanity.

Upon Game Start, G21 Madelaine Shirohara quickly met and allied herself with several fellow participants of the game, all of whom she heavily relied on and remained loyal to throughout the duration of their time on the island. It is to be noted that despite not having any prior association with the person in question, Madelaine quickly formed an especially close bond of friendship between herself and her earliest ally, G05 [[Amanda Jones]]. Other such close bonds include that shared with B77 [[Adam Dodd]], B22 [[Hawley Faust]], B11 [[Marcus Roddy]], and B18 [[David Jackson]]. It would seem that throughout the duration of her time on the island, Madelaine depended heavily on the presence of her 'comrades', demonstrating her strong, albeit base-lacking ideals of friendship and hope. Despite the strain of ongoing circumstances, Madelaine has demonstrated a remarkably resilient will to live, finding motivation and solace in the presence of her allies and having a strong hold on her sense of self. As for her position within her group of allies, Madelaine can be seen somewhat as a source of solace and hope for the comrades around her. Having firmly refused to participate fully in the game, Subject had been of the naive ideal that escape from the island was a possibility within reach of her group, despite numerous events that have caused her hope to diminish at varying intervals.

Such events include the brief reunion between Madelaine and her childhood friend, G26 [[Nanami Nishida]]. This particular friendship had been seen by Madelaine in particular as a bond of mutual trust, caring, and understanding. However, as it quickly turns out, this ideal was simply disillusionment, a false relationship with involving underlying mistrust, lifelong resentment, and borderline passion-aggression on G26 [[Nanami Nishida]]'s part. Seeing as her former best friend had decided to turn against the object of her resentment and the rest of the group, Madelaine saw fit to kill Nanami, in an effort to protect her friends.

Following this confrontation, Madelaine's sense of self began to slip. Having been disillusioned by the false friendship between Nanami and herself, Madelaine quickly regressed into the thoughts and musings in her mind, as a makeshift shelter against the circumstances around her. As a result, her voice was temporarily impaired, which lead to impaired communication between Madelaine and the rest of the group. Gradually, with little success at first, she was soon coaxed out of her silence by G05 [[Amanda Jones]]. However, only upon discovering that B22 [[Hawley Faust]] was dying did she fully emerged from her proverbial refuge. Upon the death of the person in question, Madelaine regained her sense of self, having realized that she must accept reality around her, in order to protect the friends she still had.

Despite refusing outright to play the game, Madelaine has proven to be fairly capable of looking after herself and her comrades, showing no hesitation to act in self-defense. However, it is clear that Madelaine is greatly troubled by the violence and death occurring around her, particularly that of her friends. It would be plausible to assume that Madelaine's own state of mind and level of hope depends greatly on the presence and well-being of her comrades.

'''End-game evaluation:''' Shortly after returning to the River where the deaths of Hawley and Nanami occurred, Madelaine was caught alone and unawares by the familiar form of B50, [[Cody Jenson]]. Prior to this encounter, Madelaine had delivered a crushing blow to the back of Cody's head with her tire iron, as a way of protecting her friend. With is state of mind no longer fully intact, Cody saw the perfect opportunity to take revenge, first separating her from her group, and then brutally raping her. During the assault, Madelaine's throat was rent apart as Cody bit into her neck, resulting in a slow and painful death.

Having been caught on her own, without her current comrades standing by her at the time, Madelaine quickly became an easy target. It would be plausible to assume that the presence of her friends and allies was the sole reason she lasted as long as she had done, and only once she was left alone was she made vulnerable to the miscreants of the island. It would seem that her death, and the manner of which she was killed has inflicted a significant impact on several participants in particular, namely those who were closest to her at the time of her death.

I don't care what anyone says, Madelaine was one of the most important characters in SOTF. Her upbeat optimism and easygoing demeanour really made an impact on the people she was with. Without her, I think that her group may not have stuck together. As far as her death went, it had a HUGE impact upon the game itself and solidified Cody Jenson as one of the most hated people - a moniker that he most definitely deserves.

Although Heather had already dropped the gun, she found David firing a warning shot at her, demanding she dispose of it. For all of her cooperation, all Heather got was robbed of her weapon before David, before he instructed her to leave or he would kill her. Finally, Heather had had enough of David, and kneed him in the crotch, hoping ot regain her weapon. David, however, had other ideas, and sent a bullet through her thigh. Heather lashed out at the boy once again, and was again met with a barrage of bullets that pummeled into her arm. Just for good measure, David put another two bullets into her chest. Miraculously enough, Heather survived the encounter, knowing full well that she would soon bleed to death if she didn't patch herself up. However, she again attacked Jackson in a last ditch effort to regain her weapon. He threw her to the ground, which probably saved her life in the end, causing his next round of bullets to miss entirely. Heather had finally had enough after that. Scrambling to her feet, she ran off, seeking refuge elsewhere.

Somehow, Heather found herself on the [[locations|dirt path]], where she missed [[Umi Martin]] and [[Kiyoko Asakawa]] by the skin of her teeth. Finding that she was alone, Heather seized the opportunity and used it to patch herself up. Had she not done this, it almost certainly would have resulted in her demise. Feeling somewhat rejuevinated after tending to her wounds, Heather set out for her next destination: the [[locations|school building]].

In the school, Heather encounter [[Mason "Mace" Lucien|Mason Lucien]], who did a rather horrendous job of trying to intimidate the poor girl. Mason seemed decent enough, that is, until he asked Heather to take off her clothes. Though Mason insisted that it was only to examine her wounds, Heather wasn't so sure. When Mason attempted to cop a feel, Heather immediately pushed the boy away. As Mason interrogated her about crushes and experiences, Heather found herself grabbing for his gun, her thoughts wandering back to that fateful time with the baseball boys. After that, Heather attempted to leave. However, Mason pleaded with her not to go. In response to his pleas, Heather fired the gun at him, deeming him untrustworthy. After blowing off his genitals, Mason was practically begging to die, and by this point, Heather was more than happy to provide. This is where she scored her first kill in the game.

Immediately, Heather regretted her actions. However, she did not have time to mull over them, as she was joined quickly afterward by [[Jacob Starr]] and [[Uriel Hunter]]. As the duo entered the building, Heather prepared herself with one of Mason's flashbangs and hid out underneath the desk, hoping to avoid another confrontation. When Uriel entered, Heather tossed the flashbang toward him, hoping to either blind them or scare them off. A short gunfight between Heather and Jacob ensued, until Uriel attacked her head on. In a panic, Heather shoved a flashbang down Uriel's throat, trying to get him off of her. Meanwhile, Uriel tried to choke the life out of his victim. This ended abruptly, however, when the flashbang went off, sending Uriel's jaw with it. It was Jacob who put a bullet in Uriel's head, mistaking him for Heather in all of the confusion. Soon after, Jacob left the school, and Heather followed en suite, but not before taking Uriel's pipe wrench.

Finding her way to the [[locations|makeshift warehouse]], Heather noticed the two bleeping dots on the GPS that had formerly belonged to Mason. Hoping she could trust the two, she entered the building. Thankfully, the two inside the warehouse were [[Fredrik Hughes|Fred Hughes]] and Jeremy Torres, two rather friendly students from Barry Coleson. Heather quickly found some form of trust in the two boys, even allowing them to take the weapons she had accumulated off of the corpses of Mason and Uriel. All too soon, however, they were interrupted as [[Garrett Albert Langston|Garrett Langston]] made his way into the warehouse. Heather suddenly found herself in quite the standoff with Garrett, who refused to drop his crossbow. To add to the confusion, another girl, [[Devi Satome]] entered the warehouse, bypassing the current situation claiming she wanted to sleep. To add even more mayhem, [[Umi Martin]] arrived with an entourage following behind her (consisting of [[Aiden Ambrose]] and [[Daisuke Andou]]). During all of the chaos, Heather attempted to play mediator. Somewhere in the chaos, Devi left the warehouse, though no one seemed to notice because Heather and Umi had already found themselves in quite the argument. Not taking very kindly to Umi, Heather found herself following at Fred and Jeremy's heels as they left for a new location.

Their next destination turned out to be the [[locations|ravine]]. She arrived just in time to see a mysterious figure with a shotgun aiming straight for Fred. Fortunately, the figure was [[Adam Dodd]], who turned out to be friend instead of foe. When Fred discovered the location of his brother, Heather was the first to speak up, urging the group to go and find [[Glenn Hughes|Glenn]]. Heather insisted upon going to the [[locations|hillside cliff]], but Fred seemed to have other plans. He wanted to go to the [[locations|gazebo]]. Before they made it all the way there, however, things got a bit crazy, as they encountered Glenn, along with his companion, [[Marie Zaid]]. Together, the group decided to head for the [[locations|waterfall]].

It was at the waterfall that the group encountered [[Daphne Rudko]]. A fight unfolded soon after, and Marie lost her life to Daphne's blade. Seeming almost annoyed at the events that had unfolded at the waterfall, Heather all but left ahead of the group, leaving that place and what had happened there behind her and heading toward the [[locations|river]].

The scene at the river turned into a battle rather quickly, as Heather and company encountered [[Madelaine Shirohara]], [[Adam Dodd]], [[Marcus Roddy]], [[Amanda Jones]], [[Hawley Faust]], and a quite familiar face from much earlier, [[David Jackson]]. Heather fired, attempted to kill David, and the others fired back in retaliation. At this point, Heather's kneecap was blown to pieces, rendering her unable to fight. Somewhere during the tense moments that followed, Heather passed out from the pain of her newly inflicted wound.

Upon awakening, Heather discovered that Fred had carried her to the safety of the clinic, and that they had been joined by [[Mallory DeLuca]], [[Eddie Serjeantson]], [[Miranda Grey]], [[Aiden Ambrose]] and [[Daisuke Andou]]. Talk of an escape plan arose inside the clinic, but somewhere in the mix [[Daphne Rudko]] appeared, this time offing Eddie and Miranda. It was Heather who was the first to retaliate against the murderous girl outside, shooting at her through the clinic window. In the end, however, the girl was killed when [[Jason Andrews]] showed up on the scene. Soon after, the area became a danger zone, and the group was forced to split. After a brief meeting in the woods, the group decided that the school building would be their next destination.

At the school, [[Eh-Sun Choi]] lay waiting in the shadows for the group. Heather could only stand, clearly speechless, as the events at the school house unfolded. However, when [[Stevan Hyde]], [[Peri Barclay]], and [[Antonio Franchini]] joined the party, Heather once again got into the swing of things, firing at the trio and trying to avoid their shots at the same time. The Choi girl escaped the building, but returned soon after, and inevitably joined up with Hyde and company. During the chaos that followed, Heather managed to hightail it out of the area, leaving all of her friends behind in the midst.

Soon enough, she found herself at the small house, where she bumped into a very familiar face: Jeremy Torres. Apparently, he was now with two companions, his cousin [[Ryan Torres]], and a girl by the name of [[Clare Shephard]]. It was here that Heather hoped to rejoin a group. It was also here that Heather's wounds finally got the better of her. After all the time she had spent struggling to survive on the island, Heather finally succumbed to blood loss, and her life ended at the small house, right in front of one of her closest friends.

For a while it looked like Hawley was going to make some attempt at sorting out her legs, but Peri and Stevan showed up, this time with [[Jacob Starr]], and all five of them ran for it, leaving Elise alone once more.

After being pretty much thrown around and tortured by Stevan for a while, Elise eventually died as a result of gunshots to the stomach.

It was based entirely on herself (at that time, anyway) The looks, the attitude, everything. The only thing different was the GCSE predicted grades- Elise got 11 A*s whereas [[Swoosh]] got 1A*, 6A's and 2B's. 
The name was based off Elise from snowboarding game SSX, and Aversano came from a random name on the back of a nearby School of Rock DVD.

The flash blinded Tayli, and she stumbled around the coppice in horror until Xian returned with the boy, this time offering to help her. Together, the trio decided to head to the school building, but along the way they were intercepted by [[Niniko Kishinawa]]. Wasting no time, Syd delivered another flashbang attack to Niniko, and together with the two girls, set off for the school building.

Tayli suffered from her inflicted blindness for a while at the school building, up to the point where [[Morgana "Anya" Vendvmagli|Anya Vendvmagli]] arrived on the scene. Upon regaining her vision, Tayli requested her weapon back from Syd, which he surprisingly handed over. It was then that Tayli stood up and took charge, offering out a plan to gain everyone's trust. The plan never got put into action, however, as [[Gabrielle Minase]] barged in on their party. Throughout the actions that unfolded next, Tayli completely zoned out. When she was finally snapped from her reverie, she exited the room that Anya and Minase still occupied in search of Xian and Syd. Upon hearing Xian yelling down the hall, Tayli ducked into the janitor's closet to rest a bit and regain her composure.

She awoke shortly thereafter, and just happened to stumble upon an old laptop in the janitor's closet. In her excitement, she dashed out of the closet toward Syd and Xian to tell them what she'd found. However, before she ever reached them, Tayli slipped, causing her gun to discharge. The bullet pierced Sydney, hitting him directly in the lungs, and in a matter of minutes, the boy who'd survived the original SOTF was dead. Hope had indeed died along with Sydney Morvran. Following the unfortunate chain of events, the rest of them left her there. Tayli stayed, rocking in a fetal position on the floor, until the school became a danger zone. She stayed after the school became a danger zone. Tayli's final moments were spent next to the corpse of Syd Morvran, and finally, with one final beep, Tayli Vreeland's game came to an end.

'''Appearance:''' A very old-fashioned looking girl, her dark brown hair falls about her shoulders, while hazel eyes are usually hid behind glasses. She has a cute looking, girl next door look to her, dimples and all. Skin is lightly tanned, but covering her right arm is an ugly burn scar from youth, it is usually wrapped up in bandages though.

'''Biography:''' To many, August would seem to be a carbon copy of her friend, [[Helena Van Garrett]]. But that’s quite the opposite… Though August’s background is very similar to Helena’s as she comes from a very wealthy family, her mother owns a popular bakery. And Helena’s and her family having started the same business together.

August also doesn’t treat her fellow student body like Helena does; though she also doesn’t do anything to stop the actions against the other students. And sometimes joins in the jokes that are against them. And being a friend with Helena, she never has to worry about-facing the backfire… She’s lived a very protective life from her parents, to her friends and can’t function well without someone with her. She has a terrible fear of being alone, a fear of losing her friends and being kicked to the curb as she has seen it happen to some many of the others used by the people she called ‘friend’

She suffers from Pyrophobia (intense fear of fire) as when she was four years old, a kitchen fire in their old home severely scarred her on her right arm.

'''Other:''' She has already decided she refuses to take part in this game, she refuses to kill or take part in it in any way. Her one goal is to find Helena and try and find a way they can both escape from this island.

She's going to have to gain some independence, really, elsewise she's going to die a lonely, lonely death. Maybe she'll luck out and gain an ally, or two, but who really knows? I have a feeling that she'll eventually snap and take part in the game like so many others, especially with such a weapon.

'''Mid-Game Evaluation:''' August began her journey on the island at the small house. Almost immediately afterward, she encountered fellow student [[Terry Woodard]] as she entered the house he had been dropped off in. August explained the predicament she was in to Terry, and informed him that she was looking for her best friend, [[Helena Van Garrett]]. Soon after, [[Hawley Faust]] made an appearance at the small house, much to the dismay of Terry and August. It was at this point that Hawley tried to con the two into believing he was not playing the game, which did not work out well. Before Hawley left the house, he fired a shot through the window, then headed back to the clinic, leaving the two alone.

Not long after their encounter with Hawley, Danya made his first announcement, and much to their horror, the two found that Helena had been killed. Directly after the announcement, another threat presented itself, this time in the form of [[Kichiro Taka]]. After a confrontation between Kichiro and Terry, Terry allowed the boy to enter the house with them. After a conversation between the three about fellow classmate [[Umi Martin]], Kichiro left the house, once again leaving Terry and August by themselves. August expressed her wishes to seek revenge on Hawley for the death of Helena, and Terry offered to accompany the girl.

Their trip to the clinic was a quick one, Hawley was nowhere to be found. Instead, the two headed to the lighthouse. Picking up a rock, August had planned to hit the side of the building with it to see if anyone was inside. Instead, the rock crashed through the window, alerting [[Alan Shinwrath]] and Hawley Faust, who were inside. On a whim, Hawley headed outside to greet the intruders. August announced that she had arrived to avenge Helena, and Terry was simply dragged into the middle of the confrontation. About that time, [[Adam Dodd]], who was with Hawley and Alan, came around the corner, shotgun in hand. Hawley fired off a shot at August, and the bullet killed her almost instantly, forever destroying her dream of avenging Helena's murder.

Miss August failed to understand that in a game of murder, seeking out a shotgun-wielding maniac with aluminum ballbat in hand in a vain attempt to avenge the murder of someone was rather, well, ignorant. Over a hundred other kids died in the SOTF ACT, and you don't see people running around trying to avenge them all, now do you?
