It is not uncommon to read a parody that does all three. 	Recently there has been an upsurge in member parodies, these being humorous stories using members of SiF as characters. These are not to be confused with [[SiFiction]], as these tend to be single one-off stories as opposed to a series. These began life under the hands of [[Stuart7]], who would rewrite Thomas stories with members in place of the engines. After a while these became dormant, until their popularity came back with 'SiF and the Special Visitor' written by Alaric, in what he thought was an original idea at the time. As a wise man may have said at some point or another, mockery is the highest form of flattery. Which is why we choose to flatter the [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rev_W_Awdry Rev W Awdry]and his successors by making fun of them in the Parodies thread. Some examples of the types of things that go in there can be found at the [http://melgarvewarrior.tripod.com/sodorislandparodypack/ Sodor Island Parody Pack], but this is just a small offering of the numerous parodies in the thread. Those are the ones that [[Ryan]] likes though, and he has a keen eye about these things.
