My Envrionment

Host

  1. OS/Software:
         * Minimal Debian (always!) system:
               o SSH
               o Samba
               o Vmware
               o Snort
               o Tuning?
  2. Hardware:
         * 2 gigs of ram
         * AMD 1.2 Ghz CPU
         * 3 hard drives
         * 1 200 Gb
         * 1 LVM partition

  1. Windows
         * 2003 Server SP1
         * Vista RC1
         * Why I run windows
  2. Linux
         * Debian Testing (used for development of my exchange replacement)
         * Debian Stable (used as a DMZ server to provide Asterisk/LAMP service and VPN endpoint services)
         * Ubuntu 6.06 LTS (used to test configuration changes/new stuff instead of messing up my production environment)
         * Ubuntu Edgy Eft (used to host my XEN and OpenVZ environment (planned)
