Help:Page naming
From Rpcvdraft
Naming pages can be important when it comes to finding things. Fortunely there are lots of ways to cross index pages, so it is not that important, except for those who like to see things standardized.
Think of other people. "Palm Wine" might not be a good page name for your favorite story about watching somebody drink 5 day old Oil Palm wine for the first time. "Old Palm Wine in Ibadan" might be better.
Chris is used to using a capitalizing the first letter of only the first word in the page name. Of course a proper name or something like FON should be capitalized. Remember there is a difference between Story1 and story1, these are different pages.
Changing page names can be done. It is not fun, but it can be done.
Pages can be redirected to another page. #redirect My nickname - Udoh Ukot placed in Story1 is an example. When you try the link to Story1, it will take you to the redirect. Notice under the title it says "Redirected from Story1". We have noticed that sometimes this does not work on this free wiki, so talk to Chris.
Page links on a page
It is possible to have a link to a page, look different. Both these blue links go to Story1. Here is Story1 in brackets but click here for a story about a nickname.
I typed in Story1 for the first link and click here for the second link. The pipe (looks like | ) is the key to adding text that creates a link to a page.
