The Special Protection Group (SPG) is the agency responsible for the protection of India's State President and his immediate family members.

The SPG, with about 3,000 personnel, is one of the best-trained, best-equipped, and best-paid security forces in the world. Each of its members is trained in law enforcement, intelligence gathering, urban warfare, counter-terrorism, counter-insurgency, other special operations, and at least two disciplines of martial arts. The standards of training they undergo are rigorous, ensuring that only the best of the best are admitted, and that each member is at the peak human condition both physically and mentally.

On occasion, they also provide defense for visiting heads of state or other members of the Indian government. Supposedly, some of the best SPG members are sent abroad to the Alexandrian Empire to receive advanced training from Spartan Hoplites, though neither the Indian nor the Hellenic government has confirmed or denied these rumors.
