SusanG is RationalWiki is one of the hardline antitheists on RationalWiki (while one of several, along with Genghis Khant and Bob M, no other is as infamous for their abrasive and often belittling way of expressing it). She is also respected and highly valued for her construction of much of the 'Help' pages and the 'navbox' systems. She was sysoped on Sept. 1, 2007 by Human.[[SusanG#Notes and references|[3]]] Seems to share a certain level of comradery with Genghis Khant[[SusanG#Notes and references|[4]]]

She is stern but generally approachable. She is also quite tolerant of AmesG's and Human's attempts to hit on her. Occasionally, however, she reveals a more hardline, intolerant side of herself, particularly when it comes to religion. In this respect, she often butts heads with resident theist AKjeldsen.

SusanG, unfortunately, reacts very strongly when others disregard her.

Kip the Dip Incident
<blockquote>See main article: Kip the Dip Incident</blockquote>
In the Kip the Dip Incident, AKjeldsen overreacted to a mildly snarky comment made by SusanG on new user Kip the Dip's page, and blocked her for 9 hours.[[SusanG#Notes and references|[5]]] Furious, SusanG unblocked herself and announced her permanent departure from RationalWiki. Fortunately, she forgave AKjeldsen and decided to remain at the wiki.

Susan takes her ball and goes home
Most recently, after making abrasive and belittling comments (, ) about the religious on the main talk page in a brief verbal tussle with Marcus Cicero, Human responded to her comments there[[SusanG#Notes and references|[6]]] and then went to lecture her on her talk page.[[SusanG#Notes and references|[6]]] He then, in a moment of profoundly bad timing, logged off for the night, leaving the wiki to fend for itself against SusanG's wrath.

SusanG asked to be desysoped[[SusanG#Notes and references|[7]]] and then promptly banned herself for 5 years.[[SusanG#Notes and references|[5]]] Blocked and planning on no longer being able to unblock herself, she proceeded to remove references to herself across RationalWiki as an IP.[[SusanG#Notes and references|[8]]]. After blanking her own Essay:Credo, Genghis Khant (clearly running on autopilot and only seeing an IP blank an essay) banned her, then unblocked her once he realized it was Susan.[[SusanG#Notes and references|[9]]] For the short time her first IP's ban was in effect, Susan returned as another IP and continued purging her presence from the wiki.[[SusanG#Notes and references|[10]]] Genghis Khant then attempts to calm SusanG down.[[SusanG#Notes and references|[11]]] Susan unblocked herself only to delete the essay she previously blanked[[SusanG#Notes and references|[12]]] and change her userpage to inform others of her permanent departure from RationalWiki.[[SusanG#Notes and references|[13]]]

Despite the seeming frenzy described in the above paragraph, this entire incident was very abrupt, coming out of nowhere, very low key, involving only SusanG, Marcus Cicero, Human, Genghis Khant (and, if you really want to stretch things, Radioactive afikomen, who was seemingly the only other user to notice that something was going on[[SusanG#Notes and references|[14]]]), and fast, lasting less than 90 minutes.[[SusanG#Notes and references|[15]]]

Absence
It is not known whether SusanG has really gone for good (she has). If she is, how will RationalWiki handle the abrupt loss of one of their most established editors (she'll be forgotten in about 2 days)? Stand by for updates on this fascinating event by RationalWikiWiki!
This wiki initially used a bizarre dating scheme where one day on RationalWiki was measured as one year, but this was later dropped as impractical. Should you see any bizarre numbers given as dates (i.e., "year 1854"), they are probably remnants from the old calendar. Please change these to normal dates if found.
RationalWiki is possibly the best website ever made by <s>man</s> http://www.rationalwiki.com/wiki/User:Tmtoulouse. Anyone who reads this page should probably donate money to RationalWiki. We mean that. Because believe it or not, we our goal is to help the RationalWiki. We do this in three ways.

Identify groupthink
Many of the good folks at RationalWiki share a similar world-view, and many of the more established users also share a common heritage following their experiences at CP. This can lead them to close ranks without really thinking of the consequences. An example of this would be the Fuck You Too Incident.

Identify sysop abuse
Sysops on RationalWiki were originally intended to (a) be given minimal control over site matters, and (b) sysops are janitors, not administrators. The reality is turning out to be somewhat different, however. Sysops do have power -- the power to block other users. By identifying the use of malicious blocks, RationalWikiWiki seeks to keep that power in check.

Observe conflict resolution procedures
RationalWiki doesn't really have a conflict resolution procedure -- they have to use Headless Chicken Mode to sort things out. We help them by offering an outside view of the infighting.
|-
AKjeldsen is the sixth user who appeared in the user creation logs in 1784, and is probably one of the cabal members.

Self confessed God-botherer, AKjeldsen is perhaps an unusual figure amongst the atheists and agnostics who make up the majority of the population of RW. Although he is an active editor he usually takes pains not to allow his own beliefs to intrude too much upon the rationalists. == Identities ==
Their identities have been revealed as a result of indifferent investigation by the FBI and have been exclusively revealed to this website under the understanding that they don't really care that much about the issue.

It is understood that the FBI is also vigorously not investigating the Special Discussion Group.

Some of the identities which have been revealed so far are:

*Tmtoulouse Founder and owner or the terrorist training camp.
*AKjeldsen, AKA "The Hammer of God". Wildly suspected of being European.
*Bob M, AKA "Dawkins' poodle". Convicted of being European.

FalseFlag: see also

An editor who obtained some fame on conservapedia and then turned on them before arriving at RationalWiki.

Opinion is divided over whether this was a (deniable) RW operation from the start or an independent editor. However the editor:

*1. Seems to have acted according to a long term plan.
*2. Seems to have been aware of all the significant RW/cabal personalities; as can be seen by his unblock list below.
*3. Turned up at RW immediately following his departure from CP.

Finally, as can be seen below, a rather clumsy attempt was made to try to distance the cabal from the action by making a false claim on WIGO.

On balance therefore it looks like an RW/cabal operation, though naturally MexMax denied this and claimed that he hadn't heard of RationalWiki until recently.

Unblocking the cabal
For clarity, the first fifteen named unblocks carried out by MexMax on CP are shown here. With the exception of RSchlafly and TK, they are all suspected cabal members.

*Helios
*Human
*GodlessLiberal
*Wikinterpreter
*Horace
*RSchlafly - Not known to be a cabal member.
*Icewedge
*Samwell - Acknowledged cabal sock.
*Cracker
*Linus
*TK - Hopefully not a member of the cabal.
*Hojimachong
*Tmtoulouse
*AmesG
*PalMD001

Shading the evidence
The relevant WIGO note about the incident tries to hide the above when it claims the he unblocked: "a couple old-school Cabal users". In reality its almost the whole cabal, and this seems to suggest another slightly clumsy attempt to obscure events.

FalseFlag: see also

The Samwell Incident refers to the auctioning of Samwell, a Conservapedia account with sysop powers.

Auctioning
There is no record of such an auction on RationalWiki or the Forums.

A subsequent post on WIGO stated:
<blockquote>*A day that will live in infamy, as "Samwell," whom Andy had generously given blocking privileges, turns out to be a RationalWiki user and blocks nearly all administrators (!). The account was "auctioned off" to the highest bidder in the first RationalWiki fundraising auction. The winning bid -- $10π.</blockquote>

Based on a comment on his talk page it seems Samwell was originally maintained by Cracker. It is not clear who ultimately assumed ownership of the account, however.

Reaction
The auction provoked Headless Chicken Mode level two or three and led to the departure of Jazzman831. AmesG claims that RationalWiki apologized for the incident, but it is not clear where this apology can be found.
|where=USA
|stance=ID, old earth?
|misc=Controversial user.
}}
Perhaps the most controversial member of RationalWiki.

History at CP
Prior to the creation of RationalWiki, TK had been responsible for blocking many (probably most) of the users of RW from conservapedia. He was also one of the CP sysops who had a sock on RW1 prior to its demise - though he was probably not personally responsible for identifying its existence, which apparently had been revealed on the Special Discussion Group.

Entry in RW2
Before the winding up of RW1 the mysterious "Colin" - who may or may not be in Guantanamo - had apparently told all existing RW1 members that they could be sysops in RW2.
As a result of this, following the creation of RW2, TK insisted that this allegedly off-the-cuff remark gave him the right to sysop status because he had had an inactive sock on the previous site - and which he had been partly responsible for bringing down. Not surprisingly his sysop request led to some acrimonious debates both because of his activity as a sysop on CP and because of the nature of his involvement on RW1.

However, to further his case he had the FBI waterboard the elusive “Colin” and got him to create the infamous “Clean Slate” directive; which was, incidentally, his last official act on RW. This directive stated that actions prior to the creation of RW2 could not be held against a user.

Notwithstanding all TK’s demands, accusations, complaints and machinations he was unable to get sysop at that time and eventually he took away his ball and went back to CP.

Return to RW2
He made some subsequent sock forays into RW, and in one instance seems to have obtained access to the cabal, making him, at the time, the only person to have membership of that organization and “The Special Discussion Group” simultaneously. More recently he visited RW again under the now-outed sock Night Train where he once more attempted to gain allies for a hypothetical attack on CP. However the sock’s activities, attitudes and obsessions soon caused people to guess the puppet master’s identity.

Revenge
Foiled yet again in his attempt to gain some power in RationalWiki, he used data obtained from his time in the cabal (or possibly Cabal 2) to create the website Rationalwiki.info both as revenge and as an attempt to coerce some members in RW to cut him some slack. In this he was unsuccessful and the website was greeted with disinterest and derision.

Following all this, and for apparently other reasons, he was desysoped from CP. In revenge for this he temporarily opened up their Special Discussion Group for general viewing, although this only lasted a short time before alleged legal threats from Andrew Schlafly and his FBI agents forced him to lock it down again.

Return again to RW2 and sysop bid
Having nowhere else to go, he returned to RW where he continued his campaign to be made a sysop, this time by attempting to re-write the rules so that they would eventually be more favourable to his sysop bid.

During this time he continued his battle with the old guard (Human, SusanG, Kels and AmesG while trying to seduce younger and prettier members on the site.

Final (?) ban
See full article: The Great TK banning Incident

Following a high profile and somewhat chaotic voting process he was eventually banned from the site. His ban length was then changed various times either following sekrit appeals, or for esoteric numerical reasons allegedly associated with the Fibonacci sequence. He maintains several partially active socks on the site, but has only posted a few poisonous messages. Like his alter ego RationalCitizen he continues to give the game away by making the same idiotic spellin mistakes.

His main account was unblocked on time on 10th March by AKjeldsen and this was immediately followed by a welcome back message from Bohdan's sock "TmtamesP". AmesG, suffering from his usual inability to restrain himself where TK is concerned, chimed in with "maybe he did leave for good (except his socks)?", but subsequently relented and burnt the evidence by deleting the talk page comment. (Naughty Ames.) Later that day Genghis Khant reprotected the article - which might have been a little hasty.

Perhaps he's gone.

FalseFlag: clarification

Editing your own article page is something that cool users don't do.

*It might get you a block.
*It might get your page protected.

If you don't like what has been said, or you want an edit, then please whine pathetically about it on the talk page.

Frequently asked questions
*Question: Hey. I'm an important person on RationalWiki but there is no article about me. What should I do?
*Answer: In this case (and only this case) you may create an article page with the words, "Please say something about me, I feel left out." or words to that effect. Alternatively, pester FalseFlag or Hans Johnson. If they ignore your request, you must not be that important.

Note
It is probable that edits made by anonymous IPs which have the look and feel of edits made by the user themselves will be treated as though they were, in fact, made by the editor themselves.
RW New World Order article

FalseFlag: cat

The RationalWiki New World Order article has probably been the subject of more edit warring than any other article on the site. It seems that the majority of the edit warring was carried out by that edit-war tag team Elassint and Ryan.

For some reason their well thought out and eloquent contributions have never been appreciated by the denizens of the rational site.

Intelligent samples.
A good example is Ryan's editing by deletion with the comment: (HEY SYSOPS - ARE YOU AWAKE? LET'S SEE!) and this edit by Elassint which removes one of the same references.

What they actually edit.
For some reason they are keen to see the back of these two references:
RW New World Order article

FalseFlag:

}}

Ryan joined RationalWiki in 1965 and now believes that many people hate him. He has been blocked twice for edit warring (once for 1/2 of a month in 1998, and again for 3 years in 1999) and apparently because many people hate him. He is not a prominent member and claims to not with to be. He will never be a sysop because of edit warring and how much some people hate him.

Departure and return
Ryan retired from RationalWiki, but returned in 2058 and requested he be thought of and treated as if none of the "bad stuff" ever happened.

This was perhaps a little naive of him, as people don't really like being dragged into edit wars and "forgetting about the bad stuff" really has to be mutual. For example Human's slightly less than elegant response was:

*And I find it interesting that edit warring seems to be what think people set up and work on wikis to do.

The New World Order
Ryan particularly enjoys edit warring on the RW New World Order article. His most recent edit: (HEY SYSOPS - ARE YOU AWAKE? LET'S SEE!) was on 23rd February. This would seem to be at odds with his stated desire of being treated "as if none of the "bad stuff" ever happened."

He has taken his interest in this particular lunacy somewhat further and is a founder member of the New World Order Wiki" with Elassint. The only positive thing that can be said about the New World Order Wiki is that it makes RationalWikiWiki look professional.

His RWW article.
Ryan is one of the few people who edits his own article on RWW. Naughty Ryan, naughty. Bad things will happen.

FalseFlag: vegetables

ASchlafly is the founder and most turgid member of Conservapedia. He is sometimes, incorrectly, rumored to have made the occasional foray into enemy territory. His contributions there have been remarkably uninteresting.

Most postings or user names that resemble his are simply humorous deception via sockpuppetry or false signing by existing RationalWiki members who seek to make a point, or a bad joke.

While on the subject of bad (or at least incomprehensible) jokes, the rationalists have decided to continue the fight against the weirdness at CP by creating articles on vegetables and redirecting them to Mr Schlafly's article. Go RationalWiki! That's how to show those creationists the error of their ways!
