I have discovered a free webhosting service on the interwebs that is mySQL and PHP compatible and that has no ads. Now, you may not understand what I just said, but you might understand this: that technobabble above means that we can host this wiki "ourselves." I decided to see what it took to sign up, and discovered in addition to that, if we already have a domain name, we can host it at that domain name.

As I recall, http://rrwiki.net redirects here.

Now, what does this mean? It means that we can have more complex features, such as adding namespaces (such as Randomramblings:). It also means that, '''with Black Mage's agreement''', we can actually have this wiki at rrwiki.net, instead of having that be a redirect to here. Also, those of us who were trying to edit the Bill Cosby link to WP on [[Pokémon]] may remember getting a very strange message involving the sysadmin claiming it was pr0n. That, and the occasional errors when creating redirects, ''should'' be removed.

Of course, this means we'll have to move the wiki. There is a way to move all the articles without losing any contributions.

Mentioned above is a thought about moving the wiki to another location. Well, after roughly a week of cursing at my monitor because things wouldn't work together, I have set up a wiki on our own domain, rr-wiki.net. The origins of RRCon were, oddly enough, from Doomy taking advice regarding what to prepare himself for dinner from the entirety of [[IRRC]], which at the time had an unprecedented 18 users in it (partly due to [[TheWalrus]]' dramafest). Apparently irritated at the barrage of advice he received, he exclaimed "APPARENTLY, I'M COOKING FOR EVERYBODY IN THE IRC."

And then, in what can apparently be seen as an incredibly common flash of genius on Doomy's part:

==Fast Intro==
Giboc is a former mod of [[RR]].

==Deletion of RR==
A long time ago, the only mods of RR were Giboc and [[Spikey]]. At some point, on a whim, the two of them decided to delete it. So they did, and they lost their modships; mostly because there followed a period of time in which no one bothered to bring RR back. In any case, Giboc managed to regain his modship at some point after RR was rebuilt.

==Appearance==
Giboc is normally remembered as his last avatar, the Grim Reaper. It was fucking scary.

==Eating Habits==
Giboc was widely admired for his controversial dining choices. He was known to have enjoyed eating dead babies, but occaisonally he'd throw a live one in for excitement. He followed them down with a nice Chianti.

==Leaving RR==
Giboc, on a drunken dare, agreed to lock a group of random threads in RR. He ignited a firestorm when one of those threads was the [[Kenny 4 Prez]] thread. Because that thread was immensely popular, his action was somewhat controversial. Giboc continued to make things worse, and eventually ended up leaving.

It is now common knowledge that he had been growing more and more annoyed at the admins and rules of the forums for some time before he left. On his last day as a mod, he declared RR to be in a state of [[anarchy]]. Chaos followed, with much spam, and a single hentai picture prompting the admins to lock RR altogether. Shortly after he left, he earned the title "Defender Emeritus" (an honorary title, meaning "Retired Defender of Loathing.") He was replaced by [[Kenny Strife]].

==Appearances Since==
Giboc has made a few random excursions into RR since the [[internet drama]] leading to his retirement; mostly to make a thread calling RRers cunts and then leave again. He also made an [[Ask Thread]], in which he altered the quotes of everyone who asked him a question to read "I'M A SHITTY POSTER WHO ASKS EVEN SHITTIER QUESTIONS TO INCREASE HIS POSTCOUNT" and told the asker to "fuck off."

He also randomly appears in [[IRRC]]. His activities there consist of joining the room, posting "You are all cunts," and promptly leaving.

== Love Life ==
Giboc was one of the few people in RR to actually have a real girlfriend: Cyrene Black. We know this because she was an internet girlfriend, and they met in the forums. We have no news regarding how that relationship is progressing, as neither he nor his girlfriend have been sighted in RR for a long fucking time now.

He was also stalked by [[Qleene]]. It's unclear whether they ever actually had relations, but Qleene really wanted it. In the butt.

The Smiley Thread Bandwagon was a bandwagon with Smilies as a topic name. Effectively half of RR was [[sanctioned]] because of this.

==The Crisis==
The Smiley bandwagon of '06 is widely considered to be the most influential incident of RR's recent history. Some RRians felt it would be most humorous to create a series of threads headed with nothing but chat text smileys. This created mass confusion and chaos amongst the other residents. Many celebrated in their rebellion and gallivanted about in their own smiley faced domains declaring their free will and rebellious spirit, Others feared for their safety and Johnsons. Soon after, the smackdown commenced.

==The Smackdown==
The mods of RR responded with mass sanctioning and a couple dozen postcount --'s to boot. The forum admin, [[Aelfrhian]], called the majority of RRers "pathetic children" and was totally pissed that her mods apparently have to babysit RR all the damn time. The citizens of RR recovered quickly and have so far stayed within the guidelines put down by their mods and admins.Many consider Aelf's actions in this case to be a rather extreme punishment for the actions that prompted it. Some believe the harsh measures were taken because Sauceror was going on vacation, and therefore the "troublemakers" of RR were banned in order to keep things quiet while she was gone. It should be noted that this is just a crackpot theory.

===Attempts to Evade Sanctioning===
One or two posters who had participated in the bandwagon craftily changed the title and content of their threads before the mods came, a tactic which had served them well in past bandwagons. One of these posters was [[User:Janus|Lord Janus]], who was actually not banned for participating in the bandwagon, but for "13+ spam posts" that now only exist in one of two places; Aelf's mind, or the trash forum. Both are equally likely, but neither can be proved. The leason to be learned here is that even if you cover your tracks, you can still get tossed in the cooler for a week if you make a few posts in a thread with [[Mr. Woe]] as it's title.

One of the most amazing [[spam threads]] in memory, spanning 134 pages of sweet, liquid, [[spam]]. Found in this legendary thread are such classics as "Photobucket Vomit", "Let's Just Type Lyrics for Four and a Half Fucking Pages", "Communism: Origins, Benefits, and Flaws" and, of course, the famous "I Now Insta-Love You: A Tale of Two [[Furry|Furries]]".

It is incredibly notable that multiple people clocked the thread's growth, and although the results were vastly different from each other (varying from 22 pages in a day to 8 pages in two hours), they were all incredibly high, and definitely higher than any other thread ever in history.

Therefore, since this thread was the most legendary of legendary, the most epic of [[epic thread]]s; [[miniman143]] wins. Now stop claiming that you have the last post.

LateNight with The Walrus is RR's primary TV talk-show, hosted by [[TheWalrus]]. It has a strict rule that it must run between 10:00 P.M. and 4:00 A.M. All of its episodes have been critically acclaimed, as the guests are awesome and the host is awesomer.

==The Threads==
LateNight has had three main threads devoted to its cause. The two threads are the sites for discussion, sign-ups, the show itself, and the world famous afterparty. The first thread was unfortunately lost deep into RR's dark and scary past, and no one dares go back to find it, although it was quite the awesome. Though Walrus claims it was lost in the purge. The second thread also included many festivities and mayhem, which is what RR desires and craves. The third and current thread introduced the concept of comic interviews, but the idea was soon scrapped due to the fact an interview would take six months to finish. The thread has a seat of honor near the top of the RR, and is highly revered by the population.

==The Show==
The show is the most prominent prospect of the show (duh). Interviewees have all been beloved RR regulars, who make every show interesting, and sometimes dangerous. Many a show have ended in bloodbaths.

The show is shot in front of a live studio audience. Admission is free, but you enter at your own risk, especially if you've brought cheese related products with you. Although being in the audience is quite dangerous, due to random riots and shootouts, it is definitely worth it for the show and definitely for the after party.

==The Future of LateNight==

On Oct 25, 2006, at 6:45 pm, The Walrus left a note on his desk saying he was leaving the show. It is unknown whether or not he will ever return, but in the meantime, [[oh_no_shrubs]] has taken it upon himself to steal the spotlight, and pick up the show where the great Walrus left it.

However, recently Walrus has started to broadcast LateNight by way of Skypecast. The first such broadcast took place on Nov. 9, 2006 at 10 PM EST and lasted for roughly fifteen minutes. It is assumed that this will become a weekly event, but it is too early to tell for sure.
