A comedy option is a choice on a forum poll, which is incredibly vital to the poll's success. It is an option that usually has nothing to do with anything (i.e. "Lol I like peanuts"), but occasionally makes some allusion to being related to the actual topic. Without the comedy option, the poll is declared null and void, and official guidelines state that either the first, second, or third post must point out that there is no comedy option. Origins
It is believed that Kenny 4 Prez was the first thread to make use of the comedy option, with it's three choices of "Yes," "No," and "Spam." Of course, Spam won by a landslide.
