The Wada Test, officially referred to as intracarotid sodium amobarbital procedure or ISAP, was established by Juhn E. Wada. It is used to determine localization, that is where functions are located in the brain. The test consists of administering a barbiturate to one hemisphere at a time, thereby inducing a temporary lesion that lasts a few minutes.
