So, you want to be a software beta tester here at Prosomawi Media? Well, we have dozens of spaces open! We have places for plenty of Windows users, plenty of Mac users, Linux users, Android users, users of devices for the blind and visually impaired; you name it! There's a place in Prosomawi for you. Here at Prosomawi Media, our beta testers subscribe to a Prosomawi Beta mailing list, where they will be emailed either programs or links to programs. The beta testers run the programs (according to instructions given on the post to the mailing list). You see, operating systems all run differently, so that's why we have other testers.
Becoming a beta tester
So, we got your attention with our introduction. Now, the easy steps of becoming a Prosomawi beta tester.
- Send an email to our list machine, prosomawi-request@freelists.org. Make sure all signature fields and extra stuff is turned off in your email program, so the message contains only what you write, no bottom nonsense commonly associated with unchanged settings on a Yahoo account or such. Leave the subject blank, and in the body, type the word subscribe in all lowercase. No spaces or newlines, just the word subscribe in the body. Send the message. Within a few minutes, a machine by the name of Ecartis (it's list machine software) should email you, telling you that you are subscribed. If the subscription was successful, it will come up on the computer here at Prosomawi Media, and we will contact you directly!
Beta testing is too much for me!
If you have been beta-testing for x amount of time, and you decide software testing is no fun anymore, you can unsubscribe. We're usually pretty sad when Prosomawi testers leave, but I guess some people want to. Leaving is just as simple as joining: Email the Prosomawi list machine, prosomawi-request@freelists.org. Leave the subject blank, and make sure all extra email content (such as signatures) are turned off. In the body, type the word unsubscribe in all lowercase. Just that word. Send it, and you will get an Ecartis machine email within minutes. Thanks for checking out our beta zone!
