Wealth shall be represented in units of "nomicarca". This may be abbreviated to 'arca' without a change of meaning.  Arca shall be calculated at the beginning of each month by adding the 'popularity' and 'points' of the new (or returning) leader of each particular Canton.  For example, if player x has a popularity of +20 and points of +10, that would produce 30 'arca' toward whichever Canton player x is leader of.  No 'arca' shall be carried into the next month.

Industry shall be represented in units of "nomicopus".  This may be abbreviated to 'opus' without a change of meaning. Opus shall be calculated at the end of each month by multiplying the number of adult citizens in a Canton by the Wealth (represented as a percentage) of the Canton and dropping the decimal.  For example, if Canton x has 1714 adult citizens and 30 arca, its 'opus' would be calculated as 514 (1714*.3=514.2).  If Canton x has 1714 adult citizens and 150 arca, its 'opus' would be calculated as 2571 (1714*1.5=2571).

Wellness shall be determined at the end of each month, when configuring the population.  Wellness will be determined on a 'positive' or 'negative' basis.  A Canton shall have positive wellness if it has a greater opus value than its number of elderly citizens.  If a Canton has negative wellness, it shall have more citizens die than stated in Rule [[367]].  In addition to the natural deaths laid out in #4 of that rule, all remaining (100%) elderly citizens and half (50%) the infant population shall be considered dead and removed from the population.

Wellness

If a Canton has negative wellness, it shall have more citizens die than stated in Rule 367. In addition to the natural deaths laid out in #4 of that rule, all remaining (100%) elderly citizens and half (50%) the infant population shall be considered dead and removed from the population.
