I can give 3 reasons it's not exactly canon.

1. Everyone looks WAY different
2. over violence-induced anything is always considered non-canon, look it up
3. there are more new characters then old

Instead of "Non-Canon", why we could just say "alternate continuity",. It still imply that the movie is canon (somehat) and everyone's happy. The answer to the canonicity conflict!!

Some people think the movie is canon, others hate the idea. So I found a comperamise:

The movie is a Possible Future, not entirely canon. It is not the future that the wiki may take, but it is possible... For example, if someone killed Wario now, the events of Warioman would never happen. Or, if Steve was saved from dunking, than many things wouldn't happen. Warioman is a possible future. It is canon, though... sorta. DICE
