Crossness: Guillemot on River Thames as viewed from the Thamesview Golf Centre mid-morning. Pair of Peregrines, 21 Black-tailed Godwits, Whinchat, Stonechat, 25 Redshanks (Kev Jarvis & I Miller).
Rainham Marshes: the Crossness Guillemot "drifted past on the ebbing tide" (London Birders Yahoo group); Guillemot still on the River Thames this afternoon, also Little Stint, 2 Knot, 4 Whinchat (Birdguides).
Brent Res: 2 long-billed northern type Dunlin, 4 Snipe, 3 Lapwing, 25 Wigeon, 2 Egyptian Geese, 100+ House Martins, 20+ Sand Martins, few Swallows, 2 Blackcaps, 6 Chiffchaffs, 2 Meadow Pipits flushed on dump (Roy Beddard, Patrick Hagglund, John Gravatt, Andrew Verrall); juvenile Scaup in afternoon, also 2 Green Sands & Common Sand (Andrew Self).

Holmethorpe SPs: fem Marsh Harrier west 10:15hrs, Common Redstart (SBC).
Cowley Brunel Bicentenary Gardens: 1w/f Redstart, 11.30 at least. Nursery Lane: Wood Warbler approx. 50yards beyond the second gate from the west end, 11.45 at least (Roger Morton).
Rainham Marshes: Little Stint at Aveley Pool, juv Kittiwake west, Arctic Tern (Birdguides).
Stoke Newington Reservoirs: Pied Flycatcher (in horse chestnut to immediate right of LWT viewing platform; presumably the same bird then in trees in NE corner of New River path, opp. LWT garden); fem/imm Common Redstart (in large willow immediately in front of LWT platform); juvenile Black Tern (low in from SE 1728hrs, then NW - first borough record this decade), 5 Chiffchaffs, 1 Willow Warbler, 2 Blackcaps, 6 Wigeon still (Mark Pearson Hackney Wildlife).

Brent Reservoir: 2 probable Dunlin (only glimpsed briefly in silhouette during aborted visit, and looked largeish and long-billed, so just might be worth looking out for if you’re visiting anyway in case they are Curly Sand); also 3 Lapwing, 1 Common Sandpiper, 6 House Martin (Andrew Haynes).

London Wetland Centre: Spotted Crake still present 11.00 (Birdguides); still late pm showing well on the left hand side of the main island from Dulverton Hide (J. Murray); 4 Wigeon, 55 Shoveler, 50 Gadwall, Kestrel, Hobby, 64 Lapwing, 3 Common Snipe, 8 Sand Martin, 20 House Martin, 11 Chiffchaff, Willow Warbler (LWC website).

South Norwood Lake: 5 Cormorant, 20 Tufted Duck, 2 Collared Dove, 3 Chiffchaff, 1f Blackcap, 2 Nuthatch, 3 Great Spotted Woodpecker (John Watson).
Trent CP: 2 Teal, Lower Lake, 12:00 BST (Robert Callf); also 3 Common Buzzard (Ride Wood) and 20 Goldfinch (Pete Lowman).

Walthamstow Marshes (west side only): 20 Chiffchaffs (most in Horseshoe wood), 5 Blackcaps, 3 Willow Warblers, Common Whitethroat, Linnet, c60 House Martins (mostly birds from neighbouring Coppermill Filter Beds) (Mark Pearson).
Middlesex Filter Beds: 2 Chiffchaffs, 5 Swallows (Mark Pearson).

London Wetland Centre: I went looking for a Spotted Crake and all I got was a piece of cake as they were serving it up free [2] but saw 2 Hobby over main lake then flew east, 1 Garganey, 2 Snipe, 6 Wigeon also usual species - all from Dulverton Hide late PM (Michael Mac).
Barnes Sports Fields: 10 Mistle Thrush in group (Michael Mac).
Fulham F.C.: 1 House Martin over river, 6 Wigeon flew west (Michael Mac).
Vicarage Farm, Enfield: 1 Barn Owl, 09:20 (Robin White per RMC).

Sunday 13th September

Borehamwood: Rough-legged Buzzard reported at Saffron Green; flew low south at 9am along general line of the A1 (Birdguides/HBC)
Brent Reservoir: juv Montagu's Harrier south 08:40 (Roy Beddard); also 9 Wigeon, Whitethroat, 2 Common Sands & Hobby (Brent Birders).
Vicarage Farm, Enfield: Raven flew over mobbed by Carrion Crow, 12:10 BST; also 6 Song Thrush and 20 Linnet (Robin White per RMC).
Walthamstow Reservoirs: juvenile Shag on High Maynard 09:50 (Pete Lambert via David Callahan); Black-necked Grebe on West Warwick (Londonbirders Yahoo group).
London Wetland Centre: Spotted Crake from Dulverton Hide. Showed for about a minute at ~10.30 on the island with yellow flowers (in front of the sluice on grazing marsh); this is the second island out when viewed from the Peacock Hide; also juv Peregrine, 65 Shoveler, 3+ Snipe, c50 Gadwall, 40+ Teal, Hobby (Matthew Palmer). No sign of Spotted crake from original sighting until 5pm at least (J.Murray); 2 Kestrel, 26 Lapwing, Kingfisher, 2 Lesser Whitethroat, Common Whitethroat (LWC website).
Epsom Downs: 1 probable harrier sp. low, roughly north west, at 16:24 from car also 4 Swallows roughly NW (David K Campbell).
Sanderstead: 3 Redwing flew towards Sanderstead Plantation 07:30hrs (John Birkett).
Staines Res: Black Tern (SBC).
Beddington SF: Spotted Flycatcher at 100 acre also 1 Little Owl heard there (David K. Campbell, Kevin J. McManus); 9 Common Snipe, 17 Green Sandpiper, 2 Common Sandpiper, c80 Swallow NW, 3 Yellow Wagtail, Common Redstart, Whinchat, Northern Wheatear (Dip or Glory).
Alexandra Park: Yellow Wagtail, 8 Mipits, 3 Whitethroat, 5+ Chiffchaffs, 5+ Blackcaps Cricket Scrub 0745-0930 (Bob Watts, Gareth Richards, Andrew Lyburd, Alan Gibson).
