Public Transport Access: There are 2 ways to approach. Firstly, from Rainham, if you are arriving from Rainham Station (C2C) walk round to the Clock Tower and board a bus, I believe there are 2 on this route and ask to go to Abbey Wood Lane, this is Berwick Ponds a distance of about 1-2 miles from the Clock Tower. When you arrive, Berwick Ponds will be straight in front of you through the woods to the wooden bridge and that is where you begin. Secondly: Board a District Line Tube and head for Hornchurch. On leaving the tube turn immediately right (Suttons Lane) and begin walking, you are heading for St.Georges Hospital about half a mile away. As soon as you have cleared the Hospital you will see Hornchurch Country Park on your left, there are a number of entrances to the Park.
