  • William Girling Res: Cattle Egret present again this morning until at least 07.00 hrs in sheep field at SE corner, viewable from footpath; also female Peregrine (Roy Woodward) - no sign of the Cattle Egret at 13:00 (Ian Rose) - the farmer moved the sheep to the banks of the reservoir sometime before 10am, the egret was on the reservoir banks briefly just after 10am then flew north; Buzzard overhead at 10.25 (Roy Woodward). The egret was relocated about 300 yards north of its original position at 11.00. It could be seen from the access track behind the houses on Waltham Way, opposite Priory Avenue/Cherrydown Avenue.
