Enid Rose Scofield was married to Mayor David Scofield of Springfield and they had seven children.

The funeral will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Aug. 3, at St. Alice Catholic Church in Springfield for Enid Rose Scofield of Springfield. She died July 31 of lung cancer at age 82. She was born March 12, 1925, in Portland to Clarence and Myrtle Wageman Osborn. She married David Scofield on Nov. 22, 1945, in Portland.

She graduated from high school and attended Lane Community College. She worked for the Department of the Navy during World War II and for the Veterans Administration in California. She retired after working at the University of Oregon for 18 years, then worked for Catholic charities.

Survivors include six children, Karen Leach and Michael Scofield, both of Junction City, Shirley Scofield and Joanie Oelke, both of Eugene, Wendy Rowcliffe of Nova Scotia and Kathryn Kliewer of Corvallis; 14 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Her husband, a son, Patrick and a grandson died previously.

Burial will be Friday at Springfield Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Andreason's Cremation & Burial Service in Springfield. Remembrances to Hospice of Sacred Heart.
