Located South of the Lane County Museum, 740 W. 13th in Eugene.

The First jury trial ever held in Lane County was held there in October of 1853, Judge Matthew P. Deady presiding, and Eugene Skinner as Clerk. The little building soon proved to be too small to accommodate the public's business: At a number of these early day trials, the jury was seated out under the large oak tree adjeacent to the building. It was quickly replaced by a more suitable county court house in 1855. It was almost lost, then moved to the museum location and renovated by the Lane County Historical Society.
