A number of developers and builders contributed to Springfield’s changing residential landscape between 1940 and 1955. Among those mentioned in the Springfield News were A.M. Gilbert, Mel Kern, Todd Construction, Roscoe Perkins, Bauer & Edmunds, H.R. Ketell, Ralph Nicholas, and C.F. Huser (Springfield News 1944-1950).
Ralph was Council member for Ward Six in Springfield.
