DIED-- Lewis DIESS died at his home in [[Eugene]], Seventh and Lincoln streets, this Monday, [[February 6]], at 9 oclock a m aged 61 years and 19 days. Mr Diess was born in Wuerttemburg, Germany, [[January 17]], [[1838]]. He came to Oregon in the year [[1873]] and settled fifteen miles west of Eugene, where he resided until [[1897]] when he moved to Eugene. He leaves a wife, four sons and five daughters.
