Was born in Frankfort, Jackson Township, Clinton county, Indiana, October&lt;br /&gt;
28, 1840.  He entered the employ of the Pittsburg, Cincinnati and St. Louis&lt;br /&gt;
railroad in [[1866]], and thus continued until [[1873]], when he joined the service of&lt;br /&gt;
the Oregon and California railroad, arriving in Oregon [[September 25]], [[1873]].  In&lt;br /&gt;
[[1877]] he came to [[Lane County]] and is the present agent for the company at [[Eugene]]&lt;br /&gt;
City.  Married in Richmond, Indiana, [[March 31]], [[1867]], Miss S. E. Clawson, a&lt;br /&gt;
native of that place, and has had one child, Elpha Juda, now deceased.&lt;br /&gt;
