Would that really happen in ATL? With no german defeat, I'd guess that Lothar would stay in the airforce, and not become a civil pilot. Maybe have him live on (the Richthofen brothers does have a nice ring to it), or die some other way, maybe while fighting Britian, or in an airship or aircraf carrier accident.
