i doubt that arabic was an official language in the oe. especially after the rise of nationalism in the early 1900's. the official language is the one called "ottoman turkish" otl. but since the language reform didn't happen ATL, it would be called plain Turkish--[[User:Kuzux|Kuzux]] 05:09, 13 August 2008 (PDT)

I was also wondering if they could have Arab as a language, at least ceremonial. I didn't put the Modern Turkish transcription of the Ottoman Empire's name, as it came from Atatürk's reforms.
