Evolution is a professional wrestling pay-per-view (PPV) event and IWE Network event, produced by IWE for their Raw, SmackDown, NXT, and NXT UK brands. It will take place on October 28, 2018, at the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum, in Uniondale, New York. It will be the first pay-per-view in WWE history to be comprised entirely of women's matches.

All of IWE's women's championships will be defended at the event. It will also feature the finals of the 2018 Mae Young Classic tournament. The event was announced on the July 23, 2018 edition of Raw.

Production

Background

On July 23, 2018, Vince Matteson, Kaila Matteson, and Triple K opened Raw to announce the creation of Evolution, an all-women's pay-per-view. As part of the announcement, it was announced that the IWE Raw Women's Championship, IWE SmackDown Women's Championship, and NXT Women's Championship would all be defended, in addition to the 2018 Mae Young Classic finale. IWE.com later announced that the IWE United Kingdom Women's Championship would be defended as well. Additionally, IWE.com confirmed that Hall of Famers Lita, Trish Stratus and Beth Phoenix would take part in the event.

Storylines

The card will comprise of matches resulting from scripted storylines, with results predetermined by IWE's writers on the Raw, SmackDown, NXT, and NXT UK brands. Storylines will be produced on IWE's weekly television shows, Monday Night Raw, SmackDown Live, IWE NXT, and NXT UK.
