This resulted in Hunter taking Sandvig's place in the World Champion versus WIW Heavyweight Champion match at Soul Survivor against Rage's Tyler Mane, which Hunter lost. The following ShowDown, Hunter came out to address the fans about Soul Survivor and Sandvig's challenge. Sandvig, instead appeared on the TitanTron and challenged Hunter to a rematch for the cahmpionship at Clash of Champions. The Sandvig Brothers (Brian and Dave Sandvig) attacked Hunter but Hunter fought them off, laying them out with a steel chair before performing a Downward Spiral on Dave. Hunter then accepted Sandvig's challenge and a handicpa match between Hunter and The Sandvig Borthers was scheduled for the following week. The following week before the match could officially begin, Sandvig and The Sandvig Brothers attacked Hunter with a steel chair. However, Hunter was able to defeat The Sandvig Brothers. Afterward, Sandvig attempted to attack Hunter, but was chased off by Hunter's teammate, Mark Semmler, causing Sandvig to retreat. Days later on ShowDown, a rematch for the Heavyweight Women's Championship was scheduled, but the match ended in a no contest after Gold and LaGreca were attacked by the main roster return of Courtney Hope as well as main roster debuts of Ryan Newman and Rachele Brooke Smith, calling themsleves The Hope Squad, rumered as a women's subgroup to The Enterprise faction on ShowDown. On December 2, 2017 on WIW.com, in honoring the theme of the event, Lance Dyrdahl announced that that Gold and LaGreca would have a Heavyweight Women's Championship rematch at Clash of Champions.
On the November 23 episode of ShowDown, after Elijah Eason successfully defended the WIW United Nations Championship over James Masterson, a brawl brawl broke out between Eason, Charlie Lynch and Jordan Keltz.
