Global Wrestling Federation is a efed promotion It had formerly promoted under two brands, known as Raw and Thunder. Now the company only has the Raw brand to go off of. Kevin McDermott runs the company with Kanyon as the companies President, In 2012 Kanyon stepped down as President.

McDermott and Kanyon feud (2012)
McDermott defeated Kanyon at WrestleMania in a No Holds Barred match with the stipulations being if Kanyon had beaten McDermott, McDermott would have to leave Global Wrestling Federation for ever, On the other side the stipulations for McDermott for Kanyon had not been announced. McDermott is scheduled to be on Raw. One Raw McDermott announced the return of GWF Thunder next month after Saturday Night's Main Event, He also announced a roster split on the side of Himself and Kanyon. On April 11, 2012 McDermott informed the GWF Universe that the first addition of the new Thunder will be held on May 4, 2012. The same day the old Thunder was held being on Friday Nights. At 5-Star Extravaganza Kane represented Kanyon faced Eric Young representing McDermott, But the two would fight to a no contest in the match. Announced in July for SummerSlam Kanyon was set to pick a team of three and Kevin McDermott was set to pick a team of three as the teams would face off at SummerSlam in a match that would be for the stake of the company. At SummerSlam, Team McDermott defeated Team Kanyon to regain control of GWF to Kevin McDermott, Orton gained the pinfall on Kanyon to win it. It was announced on GWFWrestling.net that Raw was going back to Monday nights starting August 6, 2012. It was also announced that Kanyon would wrestle his final match as "Owner" of GWF as he faces Eric Young.
