The [[Women's World Championship (WIW)|Women's World Championship]] is a [[Women's Professional wrestling (WIW)|women's professional wrestling]] [[Professional Wrestling Championship (WIW)|championship]] created and promoted by the American [[Professional Wrestling Promotion (WIW)|professional wrestling promotion]] [[World Incorporated Wrestling]] on the [[ShowDown (WIW brand)|ShowDown]] brand. Unveiled on the August 25, 2016, episode of ''[[WIW ShowDown|ShowDown]]'', it was created to be the counterpart title to the then-WIW Women's Championship, which became exclusive to [[Rage (WIW brand)|Rage]] as a result of the [[WIW Draft (2016)|2016 WIW draft]] and renamed to [[WIW World Women's Championship|Rage's World Women's Championship]].

The championship is generally contested in [[Professional wrestling match types (WIW)|professional wrestling matches]], in which participants execute [[Screenplay (WIW)|scripted]] finishes rather than contend in [[Competition (WIW)#Sports|direct competition]]. The inaugural champion was [[Ali Richards (WIW)|Allison Richards]], who won the title at [[WIW Aftershock (2016)|Aftershock]] on September 11, 2016.
